About this mod

Tired of running all the way to Corvega for your first Minutemen quest? This mod adjusts the priority of raider-locations chosen in The First Step. Now, instead of the Corvega plant being on top, Tenpines Bluff will send you to USAF Olivia upfront (and if that's cleared, then others will be chosen).

Esp-light plugin. No scripts.

Permissions and credits
**Introduction:**

The way things work in vanilla, the game will check to see which settlements are unowned by you (when speaking to Preston at Sanctuary) and which of them contain settlers. Top of the list are Tenpines Bluff and Oberland Station, and if neither are available, then you're sent elsewhere.

If you do get sent to either Tenpines or Oberland, then the game assigns the Corvega Assembly Plant as the target, provided that its boss is alive. The boss can be either Jared or a generic raider-boss once the place has respawned. If Corvega is unavailable (i.e., the boss is dead at that time), then the game will check for nearby raider-dungeons such as Walden Pond. Note that it only checks locations which count as raider dungeons, and excludes possible settlements (for example, it ignores Outpost Zimonja despite there being raiders).

You may be thinking: 'What about USAF Olivia?'. Well, the game has it 'reserved' in the Abernathys' locket quest, Returning the Favor. It prevents other quests from selecting USAF Olivia as a target unless the quest allows for reserved locations to be chosen (which The First Step does not). 

**What this mod does:**

It modifies The First Step (and only this quest). If you're sent to Tenpines, then the priority of raider locations are:

- USAF Olivia.

- Outpost Zimonja (note that Boomer and his crew all count as bosses. They all need to be wiped out in order to complete the objective). 

- Thicket Excavations (only once drained).

- Walden Pond.

- If all of the above are unavailable, then the quest will search for the next nearest raider-dungeon to Tenpines as usual. The Corvega Assembly Plant should come up at this point.

If you're sent to Oberland instead of Tenpines, then the priority list is:

- Beantown Brewery.

- Corvega Assembly Plant.

- If both of the above are unavailable, then the next nearest location is chosen as usual. Hardware Town ought to come up at this point.

I haven't changed things past Tenpines and Oberland. So if you get sent to neither of them, then expect the game to send you to Greentop Nursery or even Somerville Place.

**Installation and removal:**

Install or remove manually or with a mod manager. This contains only an espfe/esp-light plugin, and no scripts. You can install it mid-playthrough, though it'll only edit The First Step quest.

**Notes:**

If the game keeps sending you to Oberland instead of Tenpines when both are supposed to be available, then chances are there might be a mission already underway at Tenpines without you knowing it. And since this unseen mission is in progress, the game decides to assign Oberland upfront.
