Horizon1.9+ Patches for a selective collection of lore friendly (somewhat) and performance happy weapons. Will be maintained frequently.

Notes:

  • When patching a weapon, I aim to maintain the original mod author's unique ideas within Horizon's capabilities. For example, with the Surplus Rifle's Burst Fire mode, I preserve it alongside semi and automatic modes instead of discarding the feature.
  • I prioritize original mod's visual features. For example, some weapon mods has their unique visual for their ammo. When patching them into Horizon, I try to keep that visual features by creating my own Ammo Menu instead of using Horizon's default Ammo Menu (which will discard those unique Ammo visuals) so I can retain the visuals of the ammo. You can see this clearly when you switch Ammo for Scrap Battle Rifle.
  • I don't like the idea of throwing away uniqueness of a weapon. For example, the Ak5c (which is in my other patch page) has some patches that delete its unique Spiral Magazine, unique Tin Can Magazine, Double Sight, etc... for practical reason? I really dislike that kind of patching. So I try my best to keep all that uniqueness.
  • All lore-friendly weapons can be bought using Horizon's Trading Terminal. Under section: "TRADER:  Gunner's Gunrunners' Guns".
  • Incorporated Horizon icons for crafting attachments and gun parts.
  • Descriptions have been revised following Horizon convention, emphasizing numerical stats over unnecessary wording.
  • Adjusted weapon mods balance to align more with the Horizon.

Weapons Patches

1. Vintage Revolver Rifle



  • Retaining the mod signature's Single Action and Double Action Firing Modes. Switch firing modes using Ammo Types via Horizon Weapon Menu.
  • Using .357, .44, .44 Pulse, .44 Venom, .45-70 ECA Ammo Menu. Based on Horizon Ammo Menu.
  • Supports Modular Scope.
  • Spawns on Gunner Conscripts, Gunner Elites, Gunner Snipers, Raiders, Raider Snipers, Caravan Vendors, and Workshop Vendors. Each group features distinct variants; for instance, Sniper Variants are more prone to spawning with scopes, long barrels, marksman stocks, and higher caliber Ammo.
  • I keep the unique Variant of the weapon "Impaciencia". However I made its unique Stock craftable, with a very high requirements of materials and Perks
2. Surplus Rifle - M16A2 - Another Another Millenia

  • Retaining the mod signature's Burst Fire Mode. Unfortunately like I said before Horizon can only support 2 types of firing modes. So, I design what I call Receiver Type for the rifle. Two Receiver Types: Standard (semi/auto) and Burst (semi/burst).
  • Using standard 30WP, 5.56+, 7.62+ Ammo Menu.
  • Supports Modular Scope.
  • Removed the legendary version in the world due to balance issue. However, the unique parts (The pink parts) are now craftable. So you can mix and match how you like.
  • Spawns on Gunner Conscripts, Gunner Elites, Gunner Snipers, Raiders, DC guards, Triggermen and some vendor groups.
3. Scrap Battle Rifle - A Wasteland M1 Garand


  • The original mod enables crafting multiple ammo conversions for the weapon. With the Horizon Ammo System, these ammo types can be seamlessly switched on the go. Each ammo conversion comes with distinct visuals and ammo capacity. When switching ammo types, both the visuals and properties dynamically reflect the selected ammo type. For instance, transitioning to .50 Cal reduces magazine capacity to 1, and the reload animation & visuals accurately depicts a .50 round.
  • Ammo Menu: 5.56+, .308+, 45-70, .50+, 12-gauge, 12-gauge Dragon Breath.
  • Modular Scopes Supported.
  • Spawns on Gunner Conscripts, Gunner Elites, Raiders, Raider Elites, Raider Snipers, DC guards, Triggermen, Railroad and some vendor groups.
4. European Assault Rifle - FN FNC - Another Another Millenia



  • Using standard 30WP, 5.56+, 7.62+ Ammo Menu.
  • Modular Scopes Supported.
  • Spawns on Gunner Conscripts, Gunner Elites, Raiders Elite, Raider Snipers, Raider Snipers, DC guards, Triggermen, Railroad and some vendor groups.
5. .45 Pistol - 1911A1 - Another Another Millenia



  • Using standard 9mm, 10mm+, .45 Ammo Menu for the M1911. The M1906 uses .38+, 9mm, 10mm++.
  • Craftable parts for the Unique 1911 "Russel Pistol". Free to mix and match without being limited just because it's a unique. However, the unique weapon has better stats.
  • Spawns on Gunner Conscripts, Gunner Elites, Raiders (rare), Triggermen and some vendor groups.
6. Magnum Autoloader - Desert Eagle - Another Another Millenia



  • AmmoMenu: .357, .44+, .50 AE.
  • Spawn on Gunner Bosses, and Looting Safes.
7. .30 Carbine Pistol - Automag III - Commonwealth Weaponry Expansion



  • AmmoMenu: .30 WP, .127+
  • Spawn on Raiders, Gunners, BoS, Triggermen, Diamond City Vendors.



  • AmmoMenu: Standard Horizon's Shotgun Ammo. Each type of Ammo will have its own visual (You can see this on the ammo rack attaching to shotgun's receiver)
  • Spawn on Gunners, Triggermen, Diamond City Guards, Railroad Agents, some Gen-2 Synths.
  • Bought on trading terminal.

9. Ruger Mini-14 and Ruger Mini-14 Fixes for MK14 and Recoil



  • Install main mod (only the main file), then the fix mod, then apply my patch on top of it.
  • Ammo Menu: 5.56+, 7.62+, .308+
  • Modular Scope supported.
  • Spawns on Gunners, Gunner snipers, Raiders, Raider Sniper, Triggermen, Diamond City guards, Railroad agents.
  • Bought on trading terminal.

10. Infantry Battle Rifle (T48 and FAL) - Commonwealth Weaponry Expansion



  • Reduced recoil from original mod.
  • Ammo Menu: 5.56+, 7.62+, .308+. Switch-able Firing Modes on the go.
  • Modular Scope supported.
  • Spawns on Gunners, Gunner snipers, Raiders, Triggermen, Diamond City guards, Railroad agents, BOS soldiers, BOS Snipers.
  • Bought on trading terminal.

11. PRL8 Shotgun



  • Increased range. Base damage = 70 & shoots 10 pellets (Horizon Double Barrel base damage = 60, 6 pellets)
  • Ammo Menu: Horizon Standard Shotgun Ammo set.
  • Spawn on Raider Bosses (rare), locked safes, Railroad vendor.
  • Can be bought on trading terminal.

12. F4NV .44 Magnum Revolver (Smith and Wesson Model 29)





  • Ammo Menu: 357, 44+.
  • Spawn on some Gunners and Locked Safes.
  • Can be bought on trading terminal under category "TRADER: Gunner Gunrunners".
  • The mysterious Magnum quest has been removed. Reason: Personally I do not like small quests that touches world space only to give ONE new weapon. You have some immersion yes, but you gonna have to deal with compatibilities issues. You can buy it on trading terminal under Minutemen Category. 5 gold bar, 2 rare trade and the original model 29 and you can have yourself a Mysterious Magnum. Balance: Mysterious Magnum has 10% better VATS efficiency than normal.
  • Does not work with Dual Magnum Patch by CSEP for Dual Magnum by neeher. Although I am working on a patch for it because the dual 44 is so cool  Works now!

ADD-ON:
  • Now support Dual .44 Magnums. Imagine dual-welding your favorite magnums, switching Ammo using Horizon Ammo Switching on the go.

13. Horizon Vanilla Weapon Tweak:

Horizon seems to hate vanilla energy weapon, both in their looks and their performance.

Gauss Rifle (the vanilla one, the true Gauss IN MY OPINION)
Problem:
1. Vanilla Gauss Rifle having NO Receiver Upgrade.
2. Cannot Switch Ammo Type
3. No Scope Mode Switching, the other Gauss all have it.
The fix:
1. Gauss now have Receiver Upgrades (and its sub upgrades)
2. Gauss have a tiny bit Energy damage bonus and pierces armor by default.
3. Gauss can now change Ammo Type, using Horizon Ammo Set for other Gauss Weapons.
4. Gauss can switch Scope Mode on Modular Scope. By far the most necessary fix.

Plasma Rifle:
Problem:
1. Horizon made all type of barrels use the same boring vanilla Shotgun Barrel Model. I don't like (or hate) throwing away assets for whatever reason (especially if one thinks "vanilla models are ugly, not realistic, IMO").
Fix:
1. Made Barrel upgrades just a STAT/performance changes.
2. Added a Cosmetic Barrel Model slot, use this slot to change the model of the barrel without interfering with its stats.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS FILE (13), if you think it's unbalanced or whatever reason. I gave my info, choosing the balance for your game is entirely your choice. Don't listen to anyone telling you how to enjoy your game.
