This mod is based on Institute Laser Rifle Rework. Since it has open permission I took the liberty to adapt it for regular laser weapons and modified how it affects Institute weapons. If you want all institute weapons to fire continuous beam then go and grab that mod instead.
For the sake of balance damage is reduced (DPS though is roughly the same as automatic lasers) and recoil is pretty high unless you install stabilizer muzzles. Attachments are added to weapon mod level lists (not npcs) so some enemies will occasionally have them installed on their weapon. Technically you can use continuous beam barrels with different muzzles that change the beam (splitters and focusers) but they will look weird and are most likely unbalanced.
Barrels:
Continuous Beam Barrel - has moderate recoil and low damage
Continuous Beam Barrel Overcharged - has very high recoil and higher damage
Muzzles:
Continuous Beam Stabilizer I - Reduces recoil
Continuous Beam Stabilizer II - Makes recoil almost nonexistent
Compatibility:
This mod doesn't change any vanilla records except weapon modcol attachment lists for laser auto barrels and laser focuser muzzles so if any mod adds attachments to these specific lists there will be conflicts. Attachments are standalone but refer to vanilla models so mod is not compatible with laser or Institute weapon replacers that change vanilla model paths. Mods that change weapon stats and pluginless replacers/retextures are compatible.
