It's been 25 years since the release of Shogo: Mobile Armor Division in 1998, which is deemed a commercial failure for Monolith, the developers of Blood. The game had been described by the developers Monolith as Quake meets Mobile Suit Gundam and Akira, and the cross between Doom and Mobile Suit Gundam.
The game features Sanjuro Makabe, the main protagonist of the story, as he vows revenge for his brother Toshiro's death on the hands of the power hungry mercenary group led by Gabriel.
Overall, despite receiving positive reviews from critics and gamers alike, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division was released to commercial failure and the release of Half-Life on the same month as Shogo: Mobile Armor Division's.
