I watched Codsworth get spun like a beyblade for a solid 30 seconds while a couple bloatflies pelted him with maggots. Poor bastard was stunlocked by his stagger animation and lost half of his health before finally breaking free. Other NPCs are affected too, like Yao Guai can be kept staggered with just a Pipe Pistol if you keep shooting them in the head. The issue disappears when I disable this mod, but I don't see anybody else talking about it so it could just be another mod I have not playing well with this. I don't have any issues with Hit Animations or Simple Attack Reaction Speed (Fix), though.
I can't figure out why this mod doesn't work for me, even with Robco or Spid and without overwrites records in the plugin. maybe another f4se mod is conflicting?
Love it! Thank you very much for this mod! Just make sure don't use this mod with Realistic Death Physics, it will overwrite each other. Ended up this mod or the other works.
I've been playing with this mod on XBox and it's awesome, especially in combination with your other death/animation mods!
My only beef is leg dismemberment. When you shoot the leg off a ghoul and they fall to the ground, subsequent hits on the torso cause them to pop up and stagger on the missing limb. Looks pretty weird. I haven't tested with legless Synths yet but I'm guessing it will work the same way.
I'm not sure if there is a simple fix for this; turning off the stagger after a leg has been dismembered might be complicated. One other option is to only apply stagger to humanoids that can survive a dismemberment. Synths and Ghouls arguably don't feel pain so excluding them from the stagger effect could make sense, and it would actually make them a little more formidable as enemies.
Should be a customizable % chance of staggering because enemies just end up stunlocked glitching out when shot by automatic weapons. Looks weird and is overpowered.
I did not install the optional perk file, still I have the same problem, when shooting at enemies they cannot shoot back which may be realistic sure, but it's unbalanced (at least for my game).
I noticed in Fo4Edit that the spell and perk "zStaggerPerk" is present in the main file, not sure if it's the same perk in the optional file tho. Present but not distributed, right?
I just started using this mod today on Xbox, and I bloody love it. Shot a guy in the head and he dropped to his knees then pitched forward. Never seen that before. I'm using this and the simple death reactions too. Space is limited on xbox, so is there any way you'd be able to merge the two? Also, would it be possible to cripple limbs so they drop weapons or limp around. I'm sure it's not possible, but having them crawl away injured like in Starfield would also be excellent.
This is such a good mod. I wish I'd put it in sooner. I ~think~ it's also working with Kill Physics on the xbox too.
Neither file is more than a few kb in size, would it really make a difference to combine them?
It's possible to make characters drop weapons on crippled limb, but that probably takes scripting, which contradicts the "simple-istic" vision of the mod.
on xbox we only get 150 mod slots in total. When it gets to the point you're saying "this mod is great, but I need to cull something" it starts to matter. Especially if you use something that needs a bunch of patches for DLCs: a single mod could end up taking up 4 mod slots if they need to get patched. That racks up pretty quickly. We only get 2G of mod space, too, so It sometimes comes down to having 100+ MBs free, but no mod slots available.

There is a unique animation which blasts enemies backwards that shotguns can do, and it's missing from your mod. IDK if that interests you.

I mean I tested the mods together and it seemed to work I just dont know if anything is being cancelled out or something.
