Actually, it sort of can & does glow green - in a way. So-called debunkers will confidently inform you radiation is colourless, and that the association of green with radiation goes back to old watch faces where a green glow is caused by adding phosphorus to radium. Whilst that's correct, they're overlooking two big points. Firstly, phosphorus is also one of the by-products of nuclear explosions. And secondly, Uranium itself is yellowy-green (yellower in low grade cake, but greener the purer its ore is), and has a green fluorescence!
I knew someone would throw this comment at me. Is there a mix of phosphorus and radium in that barrel or phosphorescent paint for clocks? Probably not. It's radioactive crap that certainly doesn't emit a bright green color. I can also read from wiki But this is not important, what is important is that I saw it in the game and it looks very good.
LMAO, Mr Pissypants. I wasn't trying to "throw" anything at you. And barrels might contain uranium, or radium & phosphorus paint (or exotic by-product of future nuclear energy etc), and not just current-day types of low grade waste. However, I wasn't specifying those barrels, just informing folks in general on interesting, overlooked tangential aspects on association of radation and green glows. And your "I can also read from wiki" comment was clearly inferring that's all I did - the sick irony being it's places like wiki that are responsible for the simplistic info I was countering! And no, I don't know what's in those barrels - nor do you - that's partly my point! My comment had informative value, yours was just pissy, uninformed and rude. And finally, for your education, "good day to you" used at the end of a disagreeable exchange is not a friendly daytime farewell but a way of saying "we're done" - albeit in a politer way than you deserved, because despite you I'm a nice sort. I'd say maybe make the glow be a bit more prominent? Like at times it's barely noticeable, i'd say having it glow the same way the mushrooms on the 4th and 12th pics would make it stand out a bit more, maybe slightly more bright since it's more radiation, overall this is a really cool mod
Totally radical, dude! Surprisingly, I've never seen any cowabunga mod adding our cool masked heroes to FO4 (note: I'm def not asking folks for one!). But I hope all readers also got my play on words, as in the mod is both pretty and about radiation... Cheers.
