About this mod

A simple mod that fixes that row of un-scrappable fence pieces at the back of Sanctuary. Now you can finally trash it. Please read the description, as there are now two flavors available.

Frak That Fence is now available in two exciting flavors!

  • a standalone version, intended for folks who DO NOT USE scrapping mods like Scrap Everything. It should still work just fine alongside your favorite scrap mods, but if you run into any issues using it with Scrap Everything (or similar), try switching to the add-on version instead. This version disables precombines in that cell to make the fences scrappable with vanilla scrapping. The standalone will not make anything at the Sanctuary entrance scrappable that isn't by default.

  • an 'add-on' version to use alongside your favorite scrapping mod (I personally use Scrap Everything). If you run into any issues using the standalone version alongside a scrap mod, try switching to this one. This does not disable precombined data, because your scrap mod already does that. You will not be able to scrap the fence with the add-on version if you do not have a correctly installed scrap mod.

Does what it says on the tin

A very simple mod that fixes that pesky strip of un-scrappable fence in Sanctuary (behind the ruined yellow house on the cul de sac) by expanding the build boundary there a little. Now you can finally get rid of it.

As a little extra treat, I also expanded the settlement build area just past the end of the Old North Bridge because I feel it's a little silly that it ends halfway over. Now you can clean up the rest of the junk in the river (and those corpses at your settlement entrance if you use any scrapping mods). Please note that the visible settlement border has not been changed.

Apparently the devs thought it was a great idea to precombine a bunch of random chunks of fence with just about everything else outside the settlement border; this is good for performance, especially on consoles, but bad for folks who just really hate those stupid fences and want them gone. I'm working on a better version that will allow the fenes to be scrapped without breaking the rest of the precombined data, but I'm very new to modding and it might take me a bit to work all that out.
