About this mod
Replaces the ground object on four items so that they don't float in the air and can be picked up.

I have not seen this mentioned on the original mod's forum, but for me, four items from The SteamPunk Revolver and Armor mod did not have the proper collisions for their ground object, so when dropped, they just floated in the air and you are unable to retrieve them. I created four new ground objects that now properly collide with the ground.
The method I used was a very simple method explained by the famous Sun Jeong in a youtube video. The only difference is that you cannot use her Ground Object template for Fallout 4. Instead, just pick one from any mod that has a proper ground object and use that instead.
In very simple terms, the process is this:
In Outfit Studio
- FILE>IMPORT>NIF the ground object template. This has to be done first.
- Import nif or add project - the item you want to become the ground object.
- Select all items, Edit>Reset Transformations
- Then, Edit>Remove Skinning
- F key to to resize (flatten) and reposition the item so it matches the GO template. (Use the G key so you can see the ground wireframe mesh, don't go underground with the object. :)
- Remove the template item
- EXPORT>To Nif - save the item. If saving with the same name, you don't need to do anything else. If you save with a different name you will need to go into FO4Edit and reassign the model paths under the Armor field.
Sun Jeong's tutorial has more to it, these are just the broad strokes. Watch her video, subscribe to her channel!
The process is fast and easy, I hope more mod authors will take note and add more ground objects (I get tired of seeing the same old jumpsuit in every mod - looking at you vtaw! :) )
Naturally, this does require the original mod, The SteamPunk Revolver and Armor. Make sure this patch loads after the original mod.
Let me know if there are any problems.
(I categorized this as weapons, as that's where the original mod was categorized, but this only affects some of the clothing/armor.)
