An overhaul of flamer, cryolator and plasma thrower ranges.

Flamers should have been one of the scariest weapons in the game. I can think of nothing more terrifying than being hosed down with liquid fire. The problem with vanilla flamers is that they have no range to speak of, and for a big, heavy item they are very weak. If you use a combat rifle and spend the appropriate perks you will have a much more powerful weapon that the flamer ever will be, and your effective range will be 180 yards with the rifle compared to 12 yards with the flamer. The rifle is also a lot lighter to lug around, does not slow your movement as much, and does not us a specialized ammunition. Have a look at the attached video to get an idea of what 12 yards of range looks like in game.

We looked up flame throwers on Youtube and found some old WW2 era training films produced by the US military on flame throwers. We learned that the effective range of a flame thrower 80 years ago was 35 to 50 yards, depending on the fuel viscosity. This mod is intended to give FO4 flamers similar range to what was demonstrated in those training films.

We also found the same problem applied to the cryolator and to the plasma thrower receiver for plasma weapons. We gave them ranges similar to what we gave to flamers.

Now, flamers are the scary weapons they should have always been. Fear the Forged!
