If it isn't clear from all the patches I've done for it, I think Moonracer's Lunar Fallout Overhaul is the best gameplay overhaul on the nexus.

However, due to the fact that he isn't willing to get into scripting, there are a few balance things that I thought could use a few touches.

What this mod does
During the quest When Freedom Calls
  • You don't get to keep the T45 Power armor (why Bethesda thought handing you one of the most powerful items in the game during the intro quest and letting you keep it was balanced is beyond me)
  • The Minigun you find is a rusty Minigun, that fires more slowly, and deals less damage Integrated into LFO v106
  • You only get 480 ammo for the minigun (instead of 800 in Lunar)
  • Preston rewards you with 15, instead of 50 Fusion Cells (to keep Lunar's general ammo rarity changes)

This mod doesn't strictly require Lunar Fallout Overhaul, however it is designed with it in mind. If you want to use it without LFO, you will want to adjust the rusty minigun damage levels.

Credit to the author's of Damn Apocalypse, which provided the script for the Power Armor explosion.

Known Issue
- Once it explodes, the icon for the PA will stay on your map at concord, until you find another suit. This is vanilla game behaviour, that map marker always just shows the last place you exited a PA.
