About this mod

Two static Enclave Vertibirds. One is a re-creation of the Fallout 3 Vertibird and the other one is a re-creation of the Fallout 2 Vertibird.

Some time ago I made a re-creation of the Fallout 3 Vertibird for Dawn of America, a mod for Fallout 4. A while later I also recreated the Fallout 2 Vertibird, that one being originally made for use in an Arma 3 mod (Echoes of The Great War). The former was ported to Fallout 4 a long time ago, but I recently also ported the F2 Vertibird to Fallout 4, so I figured now that I have both of them usable in-game, I might as well release them as one package.

Use them in whatever kind of F4 mod you want. However, if you make a simple mod that adds these as buildable settlement objects or something, it might make more sense to make this resource a requirement for your mod to avoid reuploading the files unnecessarily. Just a thought. If it's a larger mod project that already has a ton of custom assets in it, then by all means package all the assets in it. All I require is that you credit me for making these assets.

How to use the assets:

There are multiple pieces of each Vertibird. Wings, doors and such. You can attach them together to form a full Vertibird in any configuration you want and then turn it into a static collection. That static collection can also be further turned into an actual nif in the CK.
If you for example have a scenario where you need a parked Vertibird with the rear left door open, you can make that yourself out of the various pieces. The way to assemble them is by simply merging every piece at the same location in a cell (such as 0,0,0). No need to carefully position any doors or anything
(note: the only exception here is with the F3 VB in which the wing meshes that are supposed to align automatically are actually misaligned on the vertical axis, meaning you need to manually adjust their location to fit into the wing pivot points).
However, I included some premade example meshes that are already assembled like this, so you won't even necessarily have to make one yourself.
Included with the static assets are also some animated rotors for the F3 Vertibird. They're just quickly hacked together, but they should work fine if you have a use for them.

Some self explanatory information about the models:

The F3 Vertibird is sort of an armored gunship, smaller in size compared to the F2 one. It has a bit of cargo space and comfy seats.
The F2 Vertibird is pretty huge and has a Skycrane style open cargo bay where you can attach a troop pod or just strap miscellaneous oversized items, like a container or possibly even an APC to the ceiling beams. Ironically with its miniguns and rocket pods, it seems more heavily armed than the F3 Vertibird, despite being more of a cargo transport.
Both of them also have folding wings, a new feature that they never had before. It makes it easier to store them in tight spaces.

As a side note, both aircraft have landing gear that's designed to be able to retract. The F3 VB design already had it by default, but I had to invent a funky retractable landing gear for the F2 one since the original F2 design doesn't seem to suggest that the gears are anything but rigid struts with wheels on them. Unfortunately a "gears up" mesh is only included for the F3 bird, but I may also add one for the F2 one later. It kind of has limited uses though since these are mainly intended to be static meshes. The F3 VB only has it because of a feature that was planned in DoA at one point.

Lastly, since someone's bound to ask, these are static meshes meant for level design. They aren't anywhere in the game world and can't be built in settlements, since there isn't any kind of plugin in this mod, just assets.

Changelog:
V1.1
- The F3 VB had an outdated texture with a decal error where two different Enclave logos were overlapping. It has been replaced with a fixed texture.

Permissions:
You can use these assets for strictly non-commercial purposes in Fallout 4, or possibly other games if you ask me for permission.
Credit me for the assets, and optionally add a link to the assets' original mod page.
Do not under any circumstances take full credit for the assets.
Thanks.
