Repository of consumable-related patches and mods for Damn Apocalypse

So, you decided to add Damn Apocalypse to your modlist... only you are also running other mods that add/modify consumables and you're not quite sure how to get them to align? This is the page for you.

The Damn Apocalypse Loot module changes many things about how items are distributed around the world, while the Radiation module changes the healing and radiation effects of most food and drink items. In order to maintain the balance that DA intends, it is necessary to patch any mod-added or altered items.

What this mod does:
  • Merges levelled lists as appropriate, sometimes moving certain items to later levels (eg. Refreshing Beverage is now available after L20, where Wasteland Imports had it available from L1)
  • Reduces health restoration to approx 1/3 of original values. This is actually higher than the DA Rads module, but I found it to be a reasonable balance.
  • Increases radiation damage for all Nuka Cola items, in line with the changes DA Rads uses
  • Adds appropriate items to be returned when items are consumed, in line with the new recycling mechanic in DA Loot. Note that this is not for all items, mainly bottled drinks and boxed/canned food
  • For all hand-placed items, this patch will realign the item according to DA Loot rules - ie there will now be a chance for junk to spawn instead of the consumable
  • Where appropriate, adds keywords for Survival mode (mainly quenching thirst). If you are not a Survival player, don't worry, these will not affect your game at all

What this mod does NOT do:
  • Contain any original assets; you will need to download the appropriate mods to gain the assets. This is only a patch esp
  • Change any values other than health and rads - all additional effects from consumables are still there
  • Make any recipe edits
  • Break precombines/previs (worldspace/cell edits are only changing the items that the original mod adds)

Current mods that have been patched:
  • Wasteland Imports
  • CHEF
  • Military MREs Standard List version (note that this mod has been changed so that the MREs can ONLY be found through scavenging. All additions to vendor levelled lists have been removed)
  • NEW! Vegetarian Food & Recipes
  • NEW! Invoker's Meals Ready to Eat Redux (adjusted so that the bonuses for Wasteland Survival Guide magazines no longer stack for all 9. Items will have 1-3 bonuses depending on the rarity) - includes optional IAF keywords as per patch on modpage
  • NEW! Meal Combat Individual (also only found through scavenging or cooking, no vendors)

Installation:
Install with your preferred mod manager, and ensure the patch loads after Damn Apocalypse (all modules being used), Immersive Animation Framework and the mod being patched.

Thanks:
