Adds the PFM Layer weapon from Turok 2

Proximity Fragmentation Mine Layer [ PFMLayer ]

Description

For some reason the idea of creating the PFM Layer (Proximity Fragmentation Mine Layer) from Turok 2 popped into my head whilst playing Fallout 4 a few weeks ago. Why? I dunno, sometimes my mind drifts. Click for reference.

So after a few attempts it became clear that obviously I could not create something that looked EXACTLY like the weapon, (I'm no mesher or texturer) I just used in-game assets to construct something like it, although not the same colour, it's just pieces I used where the closest in form. I also decided to add my own flair to it. So it may not look perfectly like the PFM Layer from Turok 2, but at least it functions like it. Namely laying down a minefield in seconds.

You craft the weapon at a chem station, you also craft the mines at a chem station, by converting a normal frag mine into "ammo" for the weapon, which can hold 5 proximity mines inside it. The prox mines themselves do less damage than their normal mine counterparts, but they are lighter to try and even that out. Easily made up for as well but the sheer number you can quickly lay down.

When firing, the mines are ejected a lot faster than you could normally throw a mine. So get used to how far they are fired. You can easily disarm and pick them back up again anyways. Sometimes, they end up upsidedown, depending on the angle of the ground and if they hit anything. Normal mines do this as well, but it doesn't seem to affect anything, they still damage as normal.

For a while, I left it at that. It worked, just like it did in Turok 2. Fire off a mine and wait for something to walk into it. But this is Fallout 4, you can mod weapons. It felt a bit bland as it was, so adding some more functionality to it seemed only right. There's the standard firing mode, each press fires off a mine, then there's an automatic firing mode which also doubles ammo capacity. Then I gave the other mines some love, so you can refit the Layer to take any other mine except bottlecap mines, as they are slightly larger. Again, less damage but lighter.

Companions cannot use this weapon. Just like mines themselves, they wouldn't know how to use it correctly anyway, and would probably damage you more than anything if they could.

There's 2 versions, esp and esl. I haven't tested the esl version as I don't use them.

Install how you like.
