The hit effect would have to be set up to work/mix cleanly when the low health effect was on and active and I don't think they're purposefully set up to function like that... And if they actually work, wouldn't it look weird if the BW/red overlay in the low health -mod would just suddenly disappear to be replaced by the hit effect for a couple of sec's and then have it pop back... Seems like a bad mix to me.

You fill a gap with this mod and do it very well. Thanks for it, and endorsed! So many games make a hash of bullet / weapon impacts. And I think (if you are still interested) there are a couple of additions I'd like to see.
I recall a UK soldier in Iraq saying he knew he had been shot in the chest by seeing the blood mist in the air in front of him (rather than the splat effect). An option with that kind of effect would be cool.
Secondly, I can't find a mod that implements a shouted / yelled pain response. I expect a lot of people, once the first shock has passed, would cry out or grunt or make some kind of vocal response. Maybe yours could be a vehicle for that?
Thank you for this, playing on survival mode & in vanilla it is hard to see when you are getting hit, & then all of a sudden you are dead, this should give me the incentive to find some cover
Can I have a Request? how about metal spark hit effect on player only? Because wearing a full set of heavy combat armor blood came out instead of metal spark
hm.. very cool mod but unfortunatly cause game crash sometimes when hit by ghouls. Right when they hit you the game just shuts down. I'm on patch 1.3 beta and downloaded the medium file
