Take off your Mask!

Makes actors and the player take of all their head- and face wear, when in dialogue by checking armor slots 0, 17, 18, 19 and 20. All slots are configurable within a MCM configuration menu.

Prerequisites and Install?

Base Game and FO4SE.

How is it done?

Registering Dialogue menu, then checking for the biped slots 0(head), 17(eyes), 18(beard), 19(mouth) and 20(neck). 18, 19, 20 is the equivalent of a worn bandana. Necks are NOT affected. Items will be automatically unequipped when the dialogue menu is opened, and will be equipped again when the dialogue menu closes.

Why is it done?

Because my player unequips his headwear on conversations, and at one point I figured actors wouldn't return the decency. At this point I was asking Preston:"Why you me no respect!?". And he was just silently staring at me. Probably a gang thing I guess? Like if you're not in the Boston Minutemen Gang, you're not an ally, and I will not uncover my mask type of thing you know? I actually found that very unfortunate, and had to unload my combat shotgun right to his face. Lucky him he's essential...just a moment later I was thinking that acting like a savage won't solve the problem, and the mod was born.

Anything else?

Since version 1.1 there's a MCM config menu, so you can customize the slots for both, dialogue partner, and the player.

Version 1.2 imports a feature to add dim light between you, and your dialogue partner, in very dark places. I did that because when taking of the player Headwear, it would also turn off the headlamp.
