About this mod

Enhanced item sorting for modded ingestibles (food, drinks, chems, aid), using m8r98a4f2's Complex Item Sorter

Changelogs
With the release of FallUI - Icon Library, we are now able to have multiple colors of the same icon, to better sort and separate item groups.

I have been working on a set of rules for ingestible items (record type ALCH) that will enable enhanced sorting that makes use of these abilities and is able to correctly sort modded items - many of which do not follow the same conventions as vanilla items and are thus tagged incorrectly when using FIS (FallUI Icon Sorter) out of the box.

These rules will make additional use of the following new tags and icons available in the aforementioned FallUI mods:
  • Canned food
  • Boxed food
  • Food stick - includes jerky for reasons
  • Stew
  • Soup

These rules will also introduce some new tags and icons:
  • Ice cream - dessert items
  • Tea - hot drinks
  • Burger - handheld food items
  • Snack - light food items providing small health buffs
  • Sarsaparilla - the drink from Fallout New Vegas, as introduced in various mods including Wasteland Imports
  • Vim - unique tag for the Far Harbor NukaCola alternative
  • Chem drink - liquid chem items, such as the Sludgepacks from Far Harbor, will no longer be tagged and sorted with drinks!
  • Bandage - separating them out from generic aid items

Tested with the following mods:

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE
In addition to tagging, this plugin will also provide Immersive Animation Framework keywords for all tagged ALCH items! No more generic food/drink for every modded item, or manual patches. Run Complex Sorter once, on your entire load order, and based on the tags, the plugin will also add the appropriate keywords. You can even choose which items to add animations to - want food and drink but not chems? Done. Want only drinks but nothing else? Done.

And, because I always play on Survival mode, I've also added keywords to ensure modded items reduce hunger/thirst appropriately. If you do not play survival, these will have NO effect, so don't worry!
  • All non-alcoholic drinks will now reduce thirst, including caffeinated ones
  • Food tagged as Soup will reduce both hunger AND thirst

There are two versions of the mod, one including the IAF patching and one with just the tagging. USE ONLY ONE

Both options require:
The Combined file will also require Immersive Animation Framework

Installation:
  • Install with your favourite mod manager, ensuring this loads after all requirements
  • Run Complex Sorter on your entire load order once
  • Play!
