I have just posted a patch for Fallout 4 Point Lookout, Patch 1.14 (7/2/2022). You can find this patch in the 'Files' section of this mod page. Please enable the plugin AFTER your CWPointLookoutFO4.esm. If you have downloaded a previous patch, the .esl name is the same, so you should not need to enable it a second time (just replace your old .esl with the latest one).
You only need to download the most recent patch.

Fixed certain weapons not working correctly with Power Armor in 3rd person. Added missing sounds to the Sniper Rifle. Fixed the terminal in Calvert's Lab not letting you turn off the turrets. Fixed an issue with the door in Coastal Grotto. Chickens should no longer go aggressive and prevent the Workshop from being claimed. The Backwater Rifle description now shows its unique effect. Various other fixes to set dressing.
Regarding the game crash shortly after launch, I've just tried what HcGxGrill said in the sticky thread and it works! You just have to extract the Strings folder that is inside "CWPointLookoutFO4 - Main.BA2" using BAE (Bethesda Archive Extractor) and then rename the last letters of the three strings files. Make sure that the extracted folder is in the same location as the .BA2 file. In my case, since I run the game in Brazilian Portuguese, I had to replace the "En" at the end of each file with "Ptbr".
I'm having some trouble with the main quest. I can't start Hearing Voices, it just never popped up, and Nadine never gave me the key for the cave. Does anyone know the quest stage that I would need to type into the console to advance?
not as buggy as i thought it would be but jsyk i cant get past the power the ferris wheel part cuz when i click on the thing to power it. it says ferris wheel has no power
