Useful, since F4SE got busted by Next-Gen update and thus I can't install the entire Project Mojave mod for its workshop parts.

As someone who literally grew up in the mojave desert (never played new vegas tho) being able to add things like palm trees to my settlement is really cool :)

EDIT: and joshua trees too, omg! I grew up in joshua tree!! TT_TT

You should give New vegas a go, it's amazing.
    2. I second that you should try New Vegas. It's clunkier without some of the recent quality-of-life mods, but the storytelling, quests, and RPG elements really are the best in the series, without contest.

Pah! Roman slavers, Elvis Impersonators, gangsters, druggies prancing as Great Khans, BoS hiding in a hole in the ground... No, it was pulp trash, as was the story and dumbass ability to craft ammo out of your arse. And the map's boring as hell, climactic battles glitchy, and sudden end to the game (no open-end like FO3 dlc). All of it inferior to FO3 except for native ironsights. Only the OWB & Honest Hearts DLCs rescue it.

honestly, I plan on trying it eventually. It's in my steam, just have to download it...

If I'm being honest I'm probably a little intimidated cause I'll know I'll want to mod that s#*! out of that too lmao

      One day.

If you had to play one of the older first person games, ignore that guy and stick to New Vegas.
Fallout 3, especially with the overrated broken steel add on, is a mess of broken terrible perks, singular character builds that always turns out the same(10 in everything 100 in everything), hp bloat enemies, a grey map populated 90% by albino radscorpions which take 90% of your ammo to kill, and a lot of: playing as a child and dealing with children and other idiotic characters, silly factions like saintly BoS "knights" or talon company that threatens to kill you for giving water to wastelanders, and a bunch of immortal "essential" NPCs that can't die and a lot of stupid non choices and a singular MICHAEL BAY style narrative with lots of big explosions and scripted scenes and no real agency or choice.

I love both games but NV is superior to Fallout 3 in just about everything besides maybe the music, which is hella iconic.

Do mod the s#*! out of New Vegas, it's fun to do so. Check Viva New Vegas as a starting point and also add functional post game ending

I don’t think there is a week 14. Week 15 is taking two weeks I’m assuming because it’s some sort of world space or something else big.

I kind of hope it's a robot pack part 2, they did reveal the robobrains on their discord, I would love to see the think tanks but I don't think it will happen as the securitrons only happened due to project mojave, but the only people who truly know for sure are the developers

I hope it’s the point lookout mod as well, but I don’t want to get my hopes up too high. The mod will be on console as well so I don’t know if point lookout is too big to go onto console.
  8. Does the Capital Wasteland team have any plans to release an ammo crafting system, by chance? There are several already available, but I don't think any one of them does everything that the New Vegas system does.

There's a mod called Professional Ammo Crafting that has support for another mod called Loads of Ammo that adds in new ammo types (armor piercing, incendiary, etc.) It's not exactly the same as NV's ammo system, but it's the closest I've personally found.
    2. Professional Ammo Crafting looks nice, and the independence from AWKCR is a big bonus (only part of it I use is to have the workbenches as decoration, because I don't have anything that makes use of them). Loads of Ammo uses object mods to swap to different ammo types, which is just as clunky as it sounds.

The only mod I've used that has a decent ammo switching system is the Cazador Missile Launcher, and even that uses a pop-up menu to switch between the ammo types. At this point I really am holding out hope that the F4NV or CW teams do it properly.

Yooo, I remember seeing them in my first NV playthrough when I lived in Washington. I legitimately thought they were mutant plants until I actually moved to the Mojave.

Yep. I'm English - travelling parts of Nevada, Utah & Arizona felt like being on a Star Trek location - half the time I probably was.
