Have you ever wanted to branch out into energy weapons and watch your enemies disintegrate into piles of dust while sneaking, but been unable to because they make too much noise? Well, be frustrated no more! Laser Silencers is a simple mod that adds the effects of a silencer/suppressor to the Gyro-compensating Lens and Quantum Gyro-compensating Lens on regular and Institute laser weapons. This has been extensively tested to ensure that the sound of the weapon firing does not draw more attention than the sound of firing a suppressed 10mm pistol or hunting rifle.
This is the first mod I've ever published, rather than just making for myself, so feedback and/or suggestions are appreciated. Even rude ones. I'll just grin that someone bothered to send me a message and promptly delete it. I especially appreciate endorsements, as I base my entire value as a human being off of whether or not people like my mods.

###Update 12/15/15###
So I finally figured out how to make the silenced shots sound different than the regular effects and added 3 versions of my mod. Now there is a sound where silenced lasers are truly silent (the default mod), one where the effects are replaced with the sound of the Alien Blaster pistol and one where the sounds are replaced with the Gamma Gun sounds effects. I don't have the audio sampling/composing talent nor tools to try to make an awesome sounding custom effect, but if you do and want to take a crack at it, I will happily include it as an available version on the site with proper credit and cross-linking to your custom content.
Be sure you only download one version, since whichever you load last is the only one you'll get the effect of anyway.
###Update 12/16/15###
Okay, first of all big thanks to user chimpoforevah for pointing out my glaring lack of sound replacement on the Institute Laser Rifles. The pistols worked fine so I never thought to test them. That has been resolved, and I apologize to any of you (3 of you I think) who downloaded a flawed version of the Silenced file. For some reason, The version I uploaded was referencing a different audio file than my original file, so even laser pistols didn't work. That has been resolved and the file replaced. Hope I didn't frustrate you too much. Guess you can tell I am pretty new at this.
If you have any comments or suggestions for modding and/or want to report a bug, your best bet is to send me a PM instead of (or in addition to) posting in the comments. I check the comments pretty regularly but Nexus sorts comments by most recent modified, which means the most recent posts aren't always toward the top so it is feasible that I may miss a comment or two in the future. Better safe than sorry.
Also I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has downloaded and enjoyed my mod. I was not expecting nearly this much attention on my very first mod and I always appreciate having an audience.
All of the files should be working as advertised and intended now.
###Update 12/29/15###
Big update to version 1.3 fixing another glitch (thanks for pointing that out User 24Cell!). Also integrated support for Laser Muskets. A bit of an oversight, but I never really knew you COULD attach muzzles to them. Guess I NEVER use them. Anyway, I also have a version integrating support for TakaruMinari's Better Weapon Mod Descriptions (because that mod rocks). If you aren't aware, loading my mod after that one will still result in a working silencer, but you won't see the better tooltips. If you load that mod after mine then you won't get the silencing effect. So I made a compatibility version that keeps the descriptions intact and still adds the silencing effects. Download only one version!
