About this mod

Adds 3 vendors to the inside of the Overboss player home in Nuka World. Flagged as an esl so it won't count against your 255 mod limit.

OVERVIEW

I always found the Fizztop Grille player home kind of underwhelming.  A dark, dirty, disgusting hovel that's not even a full settlement, so you can't build all the amenities you want for yourself.  While there are several mods here on the Nexus that alter Fizztop Grille, none of them was 100% what I wanted.  A couple came close in different ways, but were still missing elements I wanted.  This vendor mod should work in the vanilla Fizztop Grille player home, or just about any modded Grille that doesn't for some reason change the cell ID number.

For me, one of the most convenient things about the settlement system in Fallout 4 is being able to set up vendors to buy all the crap garbage junk loot that I end up picking up and dragging around with me.  Since in the vanilla DLC the Fizztop Grille isn't a full settlement, you can't send settlers there and assign them to shops.

This mod adds 3 unvoiced vendors into the interior Fizztop Grille.  All three sell from combinations of regular vendor chests, so they'll have a good amount of caps and should have decent stuff to sell.  One specializes most in miscellaneous items, one in weapons and armor, and the third is supposed to have mostly medical goods and chems, but for some reason not many chems seem to appear in her sell inventory.  None of them are voiced so you'll need subtitles turned on.  They are all dressed in the same "tattered rags" outfit that the slaves in the Nuka Market wear.  They all also have a trade dialogue option so you can give them something else to wear if you want.  No options to be companions or follow you.  Because they're not settlers, no need to worry about beds/food/water for them, although they will sandbox around the place a little bit.

If you're concerned about the lore, it's not unreasonable to think that a raider Overboss would keep a couple of captives around to cook/clean/whatever...

Again, make sure you have subtitles turned on.

PS.  There "might" be a couple of references to another Bethesda game.  Purely accidental I'm sure.  If you know you're the True Nord you know.

CREDITS AND MODS IN SCREENSHOTS

  • Made primarily using the official Bethesda Creation Kit, but with a little help from FO4Edit
  • A Youtube tutorial by Seddon4494 was invaluable in teaching me how to make vendor quests with dialogue
  • Nuka-World Fizztop Grille Workshop - not required but the mod that came closest to doing what I wanted.  My mod should work in the vanilla Fizztop Grille or almost any other mod though.  I was originally going to release this as a redux of that mod, but cut it back to just the vendors only so you could use it with any Fizztop Grille mod.
