Currently the game applies NV by applying the Night Person visual whenever you scope in, this just adds conditions so it only does it between the hours of 8 and 6. No scripts or anything added. See Video!
Made this almost 5 years ago when I saw it in another mod and it's been so long I honestly thought it was a Vanilla feature, because it wouldve made sense.
Currently only supports Vanilla and mods I use. See article for patching tutorial!
(Took me 3.5 minutes to slap this together, you can drag and drop a patch together in about 30s; see article and attached picture!)
