About this mod

Brand new update. S.P.E.C.I.A..L. Costumes allows you to be that Sniper in a 2+ perception based Grognak or +2 strength +1 Endurance based Silver shroud melee brute. Or just rebalance the game for challenge or less challenge. 4 defence flavours lets you tweak a perfect playthrough experience while still looking awesome. CBBE and Texture compatible.

35 for costumes
that have hats* 


 They each focus on one of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. So 7 stat 
variations of the +2 bonus on the costume you love.
(S)trength, (P)erception, (E)ndurance, (C)harisma, (I)ntelligence, (A)gility, (L)uck.

These Costumes all come in 4 defence flavours**, from our "0" with no base defence,
for extra challenge, "expanded armor slot" compensation or low def builds***.
To our "70" for casual playthrough's and Survival difficulty.

Costumes special:

It is the mod that lets you have looks you love,
with the stat you need, no compromise.
Grab your Silver Shroud Costume,
choose 2+ Strength and
be that melee brute
you like to play.

This mod does not alter textures,
Does not occupy the legendary slot.

FAQ:

How can I craft S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Costumes?

The Costumes can be made at any chems workbench 
for 1 bottlecap.


What is the difference between S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Costumes and the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Costumes bonus items?

We release items flaged as Bonus so purists know it contains an item that scales (slightly) above vanilla.
Since we want to give people the freedom to play the way they want we label those items seperately.
The items released under bonus are non-gamebreaking and tested to fall within S.P.E.C.I.A.L.Costumes guidelines.
This means by our Lore go-to guy approved, and no more then x percent above vanilla vallues to ensure Fallout4 feels like it should.  


Do I need the main pack to use the Dogmeat's Canine Costumes or the PA Rings/ Do I need DCC/SPAR for the mainpack?


No,
All our packs can be used as standalone.
Dogmeat's and Power Armor Rings now have his own page and a brand new update with all dog items,
increases synergy most when combined with our Costumes.



I love the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. for Canines any word on your Character Costumes getting this too?

In the future yes, Published under S.P.E.C.I.A.L.Costumes Bonus as standalone packs 
(bonus lore pack preview can be found in the main NMM download).

For now we want to keep our S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Costumes around vanilla.
The way we have our mod allows full range of customisation for the user.
The craftsystem is rock solid and items created have unique REFID's. 
All 3rd party mods overwrites are enabled for all but the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats.


Mine is not in the list, why not / Can you add....?

We are working to add all the costumes and special items in the game. This is a project and early stage. 
Feel free to drop a request so we can put it on the priority list


What is S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and why havent I heared from you?


We are Coffee Cats, a 2 man code team and SirenMel who does the artwork and creative input, and S.P.E.C.I.A.L.Costumes is our first official mod. 
Everything was playtested and we made balance guidelines ourself based around our years of Fallout experience.
We both have well over 200 hours on the clock in Fallout 4 alone and that is without mod structure tests.
I have played Fallout since FO1, Pyro played it since FO2 and we want to make sure that 
the S.P.E.C.I.A.L.Costumes named releases feel right in the Fallout universe.
The mod has been on my mind for a while so i made v1.00 for my use.
We enjoyed it so much we decided to release it on Nexus.
SirenMel is the creative mind who motivated me 
to start this mod and make it work.

V1.04
v1.04 has been a huge revamp.
Implemented all functionality current tools allow us.
Since this started with v1.00 as a personal test mod made to test the current tools. A lot has changed.
 After rigorous playtests and balance tests we noticed v1.03 was not allways stable so:
Mod completely re-written. Made into a solid foundation. 
v1.04 is the official  launch,.... alpha / beta stages are over

Future goals:

make 1.04
-Keep this mod updated.
-Evaluate requests and add them if needed 
--Add a version for all unique items + some bonus ones ones with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Costumes treatment
-coloured version with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. colours for all releases,
-This mod should be Xbox / PS4 compatible, otherwise we will add / make it
