What Is This Mod?
This mod is a patch for the Glock 19X pistol by FX0x01, an impressive pistol with cool animations, great sound effects, and lots of crafting options. I wanted to replace the complex startup injection process with a single, streamlined injection script; convert the weapon to use 9mm ammo like in real-life (9mm ammo courtesy of Munitions), re-balance attachment crafting recipes to fully classify the weapon as an early-game weapon; adjust names of attachments to be more straightforward; and fix some bugs and minor oversights in the original mod
.

What Exactly Does This Patch Change?
1. Disables all of the Glock 19x startup scripts.
The Glock 19X mod comes with several scripts, one of which triggers when the player is level 3 or greater and travels to a new location; at that time, a prompt interrupts the game and asks a series of questions before executing scripted leveled list injection.
My patch completely disables this functionality in favor of a single injection script that immediately and silently kicks off at the start of a new game. I've customized and expanded which NPCs get a chance of spawning with the Glock 19X. See the spoiler below if you're interested in seeing which leveled lists I'm injecting the weapon into.

2. Converts the Glock 19X to use 9mm ammo instead of 10mm ammo.
The Glock 19X mod makes the weapon use 10mm ammo, presumably because it's the closest ammo type Fallout 4 offers. However, using the Munitions modder's resource created by codeblackcrash, I've seamlessly integrated 9mm ammo--used by the real-life Glock 19X--into the weapon and throughout the game. Small scripts that run once on game start provide full integration and are compatible with pretty much everything.

3. Removes the "cheat" damage modification attachments.
I've removed the Glock 19X's free damage modification attachments that increase the gun's base damage.
I'm sure the intent of this feature was to allow on-the-fly balancing of the weapon's base damage depending on one's load order. If you use other mods that significantly increase the base damage of all your other weapons, for example, you'd probably want to similarly increase the damage of this one. However, for a more immersive playthrough, and to prevent myself from cheating, I prefer to do all my weapon balancing with patches outside of live play.

4. Modifies Glock 19X to serve as an early-game weapon.

The Glock 19X, being a 9mm pistol, should theoretically pack a bit less punch than the 10mm pistol from FO4. The 10mm pistol has a base damage of 18, so I've lowered the Glock 19X's base damage to 17 (down from 25). The Munitions mod starts spawning 9mm ammo at level 4, so I've also chosen to begin spawning basic variations of the Glock 19X pistol on both vendors and NPCs at level 4. There are two main weapon templates, semi-automatic and automatic, from which the weapon will spawn. The templates I've configured use a feature of FO4 that roll for a chance at an "epic" configuration when spawning a weapon, which is just another way of saying "a weapon with random attachments." As you progress beyond level 4, you have the chance of seeing the Glock 19X spawn with more and more advanced configurations. Please note that the flashlight and laser sight attachments will never spawn on NPCs but can be crafted at the weapons workbench.

5. Adjusts names of weapon attachments.
To improve readability, I've edited the name records of the weapon attachments. Each attachment had its name prefixed with the attachment type in brackets, but I've removed the brackets and moved the attachment type to the end of the name like vanilla FO4 does. I also simplified the names of some attachments. Notably, I significantly reworked the names of all magazines, providing more detailed names as well as correcting the names of two magazines to reflect their actual magazine size and type.

6. Adjusts perk requirements for the attachments' crafting recipes.
I reviewed all of the weapon attachments for the Glock 19X and made a number of edits for better gameplay balance and improved cost-to-value ratio (e.g., an attachment with a Gun Nut 3 requirement should provide exceptional value). I also took into consideration that the Glock 19X is serving as an early-game weapon, so I aligned it's recipe requirements closely with those from the base game 10mm pistol.

Note that I entirely removed all Gun Nut requirements and reduced crafting component requirements for the two flashlights and the one laser sight. These attachments do not provide any real tactical advantage (though having the flashlight is nice), so in my mind they should be cheap and easily accessible if one wishes to craft them.

7. Corrects magazine sizes and missing reload bonuses.

The Glock 19X has a handful of "quick eject" magazines (i.e., magazine with a faster reload speed) with accompanying animations, but the mods themselves are missing properties to increase reload speed. I've added a reload speed increase to those attachments. In addition, the magazine names didn't align with the actual ammo size increases, or at least were confusingly worded (e.g., [Mag] "24 RND" Extended set ammo capacity to 29). I've adjusted ammo capacity sizes to real-life Glock 19X magazine sizes and simplified the names of the magazines.

How Do I Install This Patch?
Install these mods using a mod manager:
1. Install the main file from Munitions - Ammo Expansion Project
2. Install the main file (2K or 4K) for Glock 19X - Pistol
3. Install my patch: Glock 19X Tweaks and Fixes

Compatibility
Through the use of scripted leveled list injection, my patch should be compatible with pretty much everything else except for weapon replacers, which typically modify the weapon record.
