About this mod

Hailing from the Azande people of Central Africa, the Kpinga is good for close or far engagements.

KPINGA
Like all my Main-Hand Thrown Weapons, this one requires Nuka-World.
Also once again special acknowledgement to Niero for the spinning projectile animations.

Picture this: You're an Azande warrior of the legendary Vungara clan. Your kingdom now rules most of what would become Sudan and Chad. The year is 1800. While out hunting one brisk winter morning, you meet a woman, fishing.  You talk, you laugh, you fall in love. Her father is the chief of a neighboring village, so he demands a dowry appropriate to your fiance's station.  What do you do?

Well, you hire a blacksmith. You pray to your omnipotent diety Mboli to bless the steel. Your dowry: 20 Kpinga for her father's warriors.

Also known as a Mambele, the Kpinga is a staple of pre-colonial African warfare. Skilled warriors could use it as a hacking weapon, but it's true strength was when it was thrown.  Unlike the single-edged tomahawk, the main thrown weapon of North American indigenous people, the Kpinga positively bristled with blades pointing every direction.  Usually thrown overhand, a Kpinga could be thrown side-arm to take out an enemy's legs under their shield, and Azande warriors often carried three or four.

Many traditional African religions held that God is a blacksmith.  The Kpinga was a status symbol, a religious symbol, and a sign of valor and honor.

The Melee and Main Hand Throwing versions of the Kpinga, as well as the thrown ammo, can be crafted at the chem bench under KPINGA. Requires Blacksmith 3.

Also available is a chem to hot-swap between the melee and thrown versions without having to open your inventory or hotkey two items.  The chem is returned when used.
