This mod will change up Cait's face and hair to give her a proper junkie pit fighter look, as well as change her combat shotgun into a handmade rifle. She has additionally been given a new unique perk that combines watered down effects of some other perks. She will now have sweeping melee attacks, better bash damage, be more accurate with her weapon, take reduced limb damage, among a couple of other things. She has also been given slight bumps to her strength, endurance, and health to make her a bit more durable in a fight.
She has been given a new Nuka World inspired outfit, as well as a few food, chem, and personal effects to make her feel a little more real and grounded.
At a later date I'll work on a compatibility patch for a companion AI mod after I have tried some out, find the one I think works best, and get permission from the author.
Change Log
Version 1.01
Originally Cait's gun was a brute force conversion of her companion shotgun. She has been given a new unique gun with a new Form ID. The old gun (the converted shotgun) has been changed to 1 base damage so she should never equip it over her new gun. The accuracy bonus of her custom perk has been reduced as in playtesting I found she was zapping raider heads left and right which was never the intent. She has been given 2 new unique items in addition to her gun:
"Don't Touch Me": A spiked bat with the junkie legendary, which does nothing for NPCs, but it just fits so well.
"Cait's 'Lucky' Wrench": The operator right leg piece has been given a -1 luck enchantment. I don't know how to get NPCs to equip items placed in their inventory by the custom item quest on spawn (or if it's even possible), so you'll have to tell her to equip it the first time you meet her.
Last but not least, I noticed she has a few different lines of dialogue about how much she hates creepy crawlies ("Things like this never bothered me, now spiders on the other hand...", "Great, more bugs!", "Rounding up synths sounds about as much fun as rounding up radroaches. You have fun.") so I gave her a 10% damage increase against enemies with the bug keyword and radscorpions.
Version 1.02
Updated Trigger Rush perk: Now instead of vanilla functionality it actually does increase your AP regen rate at low health, and the health threshold has been bumped up to 35%. Additionally you gain 10% damage with ballistic weapons and lose 2 perception while below the threshold.
Combat AI: Made some adjustments to Cait's combat style which will hopefully make her more aggressive, and more likely to engage up close and personal to better reflect her identity as a brawler. Documentation for combat styles (particularly charging for close distance) is sparse however so we're kind of navigating uncharted waters here.
Version 1.02.1
Cait's starting inventory has been altered to what will hopefully give some dimension to the implied character.
