      This statement is not correct as far as I can tell. Fallout 4 fixes and UFO4P have a fix for the molerat disease fix and not make you not get it while in Power Armor.

    Was there a change made to the game? I just played through this section again the other day, and did not get infected. I moved very cautiously & used an explosive machine gun, shredding the critters as soon as they spawned before they could reach me. Checking stats after confirmed no infection occurred.

      I believe you have to be hit by a mole rat to get infected - they need to bite you. If you shredded them before they got to you then you're in the clear!

      You have to get hit by an INFECTED mole rat.

      So yeah, there is a chance to do it without getting infected, it just hard to do.
      (well, without this mod).

      That's why I've always gone in with an incredibly beefed-up rifle--if you kill them before they even get near, there's 0% chance of infection. But then they like to pop out of the cement right in front of you, so I was hoping for something like a buzzer that let you know you'd been infected: you fail, time to reload.

      How hard would an infection buzzer be to make?

      This is good, though. The mission is so nonsensical that I have to kill the protectron first, because if that ROBOT gets bitten, YOU get infected. Sigh.

      the fix for the companions is redundant for users of UFO4P as that fixes BOTH the protection getting hit infecting you AND companions getting hit (if you aren't using the UFO4P why?

    This should have been in the base game.  It especially irked me to bring in a companion, watch them blank out and get bit, then receive the incurable disease on their behalf.

    Given the disease is spread through bites, the hazmat suit doesn't make sense. BUT, still enjoyable to grab some T45 and just stomp down some molerats with no repercussion.

    Me, shortly before going into the hidden part of Vault 81: "You know what would be cool? A mod that makes you unable to get the mole rat disease if you're wearing power armor. Or a hazmat suit. But that's too niche and specific, that mod doesn't exis-"

    And then it totally fucking did. It's like you pulled it directly out of my goddamn brain. Endorsed.

    I always found it truly asinine that molerats could bit through power armor.

    Then again they can burrow through concrete, which is equally stupid.

    Grabbed this before actually doing this quest, as I KNEW I wasn't getting out of there without getting hit at least once -- was fully protected in my Minuteman-branded power armor! So yes, thanks for this!

    Doing God's work with this mod. It bothered Me to no end how a hulking, hermetically-sealed power armor couldn't protect You from a rat bite.
    This mod fixes that.
