About this mod

An early game settlement blueprint that one could picture in any of the Fallout games, this camouflaged base of operations has three houses reinforced with sandbags and metal plates, centralizing settlement activity in and around the Sole Survivor’s house.

Simple Survivalist Sanctuary

Sheltered beds?  Check.  Clean water?  Check.  Crops?  Check.  Defenses?  Check.  A radio beacon to lure raider spies and synth infiltrators to your settlement?  Check and check.

Breeze through Sturges’s inane workshop quest with a simple survivalist Sanctuary.  Designed as a fun early game settlement that one could picture in any of the Fallout games, this camouflaged base of operations has three houses reinforced with sandbags and metal plates, centralizing settlement activity in and around the Sole Survivor’s house.  Wooden planking was also placed in the house attics in order to cut down on the rain coming through the damaged rooves.

Preparing the Site: Store or scrap all furniture, fixtures, junk, and debris in the Sole Survivor’s house, the Rosas’ house across the street, and the house directly to the west of the Sole Survivor’s house.  If desired, clean up the riverbank to the west of the bridge on the Sanctuary side.  The workshops that came with the settlement were stored and then placed again in hopefully more convenient locations.  Better Cooking Stations and CWSS Redux are optional offsite requirements, the blueprint still works well without them.

The Hadar Chronicles

The settlements of the Hadar Chronicles are a semi-lore friendly, semi-realistic take on the Wasteland, with an eye towards locally available resources, materials, furniture, and found objects. The aesthetic is meant to be rough-hewn (but not shoddy) with wood, stone, and recycled metal used for new construction across the settlement, some of it quite massive, ideally creating a believable Wasteland vernacular style.
