For some reason I have 2 Bldgs. The original superimposed on the other one, but just on the outside. The pool is covered by the roof. You can see the lights from the pool, and the side on the edge flicker. And the elevator is covered by the wall. Any ideas.
so im a huge fan of the original mod, its been in my load order for years. id like to give this a try especially if it has performance gains and other improvements but my main favorite thing to do was build a house or building of some kind on top of the roof. it was like an ingame goal i created for myself, fight and work my way to inner city and find this building then clear it out and take it over and build what i want on top. then it became my inner city base where i could have a view in all directions. is there any way you could make a version where the pool is way smaller or almost back to being a hot tub on top of the roof so theres room to build up there again? that to me would be perfect, i just dont see a need for a pool that big myself, the npcs cant use it all the way anyway can they? other than that it looks great, the apartment below looks much improved and im anxious to try it out and see how it compares to the original.
If you are still playing and looking for the blank roof buildable version of this building, someone else did that and the mod now exists here on the Nexus.
Love the loft apartment and the way you've split it up into the different decorated areas. I've been having fun getting it all to my taste but have found I've got missing workshop tabs - particularly generators (I was hoping to add more light sources, lamps etc) - I'd love to get a fix for this issue. Kudos on the mod though:)
The reason there is missing workshop tabs is because the placed workshop is based off of the interior version that is used at Home Plate, to fix this you will have to open up fallout4 edit and change the placed object "NAME - Base" id from 12e2c4 to C1AEB.
Here is a pic of the fixed version, keep in mind that I do not know if this will make other changes that could cause CTD or not but it will unlock the other tabs.
EDIT: cant get stores to work yet will reply when I figure it out.
EDIT2: to get shops to work you have to add a quest to add the workshop to the parent workshops, i was able to do it using this guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32193
hi i had this mod a while back and i loved it, sadly my my load order got a bit to hefty and sacrifices had to be made, but i redownload it on my new pc once i saw you made an empty add on for it, only thing is im not seeing any way to access it, im in the Dartmouth may build ( outside the door, backbay i thing its called, i went trough the door but there wasn't anyting but a single radroach and a few pickup items. do i need the OG mod and this one or did i do something wrong on installing the redux version or am i just blind i do wear glasses so it is a definite possibility its that lol, please just give me any advice or help you can so i can enjoy this b e a utiful mod as soon as possible. Please and Thank You :)
A really nice player home, and it isn't asking for a load of other add-ons to work. And big enough to place lots of showcases to fill the collectors heart with proud :) Resepekt!
One question: in the empty version, there is still the kitchen corner where some cabinets cannot be removed, not even with Scrap everything. Is this as intended? I'd be happy to remove those really ugly damaged cabinets to be able to place some nice crafted ones.
can not tell you how amazing this mod is for my planned playthrough- Dartmouth player home with a workshop and I don't have to build from the ground up, thank you so much for this.
As it stands, everything is beautifully decorated and the house has a lot of personality, frame rates good. There are a couple things I'd like to move around though but things like the dining room chairs, pot plants, desks, and pool balls and cues cannot be scrapped/moved, even with Scrap Everything and Immersive Scrapping. so the house is haunted by floating pool balls right on time for spooky season.
Are there plans in the future to create a 'empty penthouse' version for this or enable everything to be scrappable?
One question; How would I go about fast traveling directly to the penthouse? I'm using FallUI Map and added the Dartmouth building to my favorites, but given that this area is a random encounter location, it's almost guaranteed to have a fight scene when arriving here. Would also be wonderful to bypass the elevator etc and Fast travel directly to the workshop.
If any of us were able to create a fast travel location to this workshop, I'm assuming it would also appear in the Workshop list of FallUI Map right? Or would a seperate patch be needed for that? Either way, would be wonderful option to have.
I see, I guess it's better than downstairs. I read your comment about thinking of removing the door between all together... Looking forward for that...
Also you say, "Idle markers are elevated too but it is not as much visible with normal shoes." but most things are too obvious in my opinion, especially when the sun hits the wrong way, please see the image and notice the idle marker and even the plant pot.
So it would be wonderful to have an optional download without the High Heel support, since we can't edit the idle markers ourselves... I'm wondering if it would be possible to do it with IMP - Invisible Marker Pack (redux)? but many people report that it's already broken and known to be incompatible with most other mods, so I'm afraid to test it out.
Thank you. Will try to look into that. If i find some time. But if you look carefully then even vanilla statics look sometimes slightly floating. Not sure how "perfect" it can be.
I appreciate your consideration. You are right about vanilla objects. However I noticed how painstakingly you put some black balls under couches etc. Which is quite clever aesthetics if you ask me, so kudos for that. I did however had to replace the couches and other furniture for a standard elevation. My only problem was the idle markers... and I didn't know about the mod you mentioned.... So thank you so much for that! If it works for me (and your mod's markers) I will be very happy.
I thank you so much for the alternate version, I immediately loaded up my save and went there.... So happy to see that even the idle markers are now touching the ground. I was worried about the update procedure but went as usual anyway and even the stuff I already built there is staying intact, which is nice.
Although, for some reason I still can not build any generators in this settlement. I can build them everywhere else but this one, so it shouldn't be a mod conflicting workshop menu issue.
I can build them at the roof, but not inside. Since I can not see stats for this settlement, I'm not sure if they are connected. I suspect that they're two seperate settlements since there are two seperate workshops.
If you could also guide me with these two issues (no stats + no generators inside) as well, I'll be deeply grateful... Otherwise a great mod, endorsing.
PS: I can see the WS stats while at the roof... but not when inside. Eventhough I can already open the workshop inside, I tried clicking the workshop and typing setpapyrusvar ownedbyplayer 1 ... nothing changed.
I see... I have no experience in modding or fallout codes but throwing a wild guess, it may be due to the cell being set to interior=true. If that's the case perhaps an interior workshop like Diamond city home, could help as a reference perhaps?
So I noticed that we can't build any power generators and there are no stats available for the settlement. I assume this is because it's a custom settlement, or do I have something conflicting?
I can understand the stats but why wouldn't be able to build any power source?

I really hope, that you still read the comments. I like you mod very much.
But may I suggest three improvements, please?
1) create a new marker "Penthouse" for the map (not (only) roof)
2) make it possible to send companions and settlers (!) directly to the penthouse
3) connect the penthouse to a supply route to always have enough scrap on site
Thx and best regards!
Hope someone else voluntees.
Loft does not appear in game
Please advice
Nor sure why it's not there.

Let me know how it works
Vanilla items from the build menu are missing, including the wood, concrete, warehouse, barn and vault subfolders.
And the stairs are gone, none of the stairs I had access to fit the angle.
I've attempted reloading the game and messing with the load order but nothing changed.
The workshop item problem is new to me. Have to check sometime

Thank you for sharing.
The main entrance I use only once.

The invisible furniture? mod works great, specially the dancing idles.

The penthouse is not setup for interior energy and stats.
Will have a look soon.
