Atomic Warfare is a comprehensive modlist that focuses on improving over the Vanilla Fallout 4 with better mechanics, additional content to explore, and an overall immersive experience. With a small modlist, and an easy-to-use list, any modder can use this modlist without worrying as much about messing something up.

For discussion and support, join the Collective Modding Discord and visit my personal Mod Author Hub channel in the FO4 Category.

Within this mod guide, here's a generalized feature list of what to expect when using this guide.

  • A comprehensive list of roughly 160+ mods, keeping it small compared to other modlist guides.
  • Completely immersive and lore friendly list, while not straying far away from Fallout lore.
  • Plethora of gun, armor, and quest mods to explore and play with.
  • Fully dynamic and compatibility between mods to offer a near bugless modded Fallout 4 experience.
  • New game mechanics, ways to explore, survive, and thrive in the Wasteland.

This guide will contain abbreviations for various things, and you will need to read this to better understand what they mean, and should most certainly pay attention to them.

[MI] - Manual Installation
[MM] - Mod Manager Installation
[OP] - Optional Installation
[RQ] - Required Installation

This guide is heavily based around MO2 users, specifically. If you are not a MO2 user and use something like Vortex, you may need to adjust instructions accordingly to your appropriate setup. While I am not denying the use of other mod managers, MO2 is a widely recognizable mod manager, and is recommended amongst many advanced modders. If you would like to use MO2, please visit this page and download the latest version available.

It's also assumed that you have all of the DLC installed, and the game runs properly.

ATTENTION!
If you downloaded the MO2 Data file that was included in the Optional section, and used the load order provided, reorder your mod and plugin list from top to bottom in the guide.

All edits and updates to the guide can be found below, to help you find what needs to be changed.

Let's begin the guide with a few things first, before we start delving in and downloading mods. Much of the mod list may not require that much work to be done on mods, other than installing a few compatibility patches and tweaking some configuration. However, that does not mean you can't configure things to your liking, or add/fix anything you see fit, so by all means change and edit whatever you'd like.

While you progress through each step, launch and test your game to make sure there is nothing wrong, or there is no crash at startup. This will greatly help in zeroing in on which mod may cause a crash. You should also base your load order and plugin list in the order that you install these mods, so they should load from Step 1.0 to Step 21.0

ALSO! As you go through each mod installation, please take the time to endorse each one, as mod authors do not receive enough recognition for their work.

As for now, this section is redundant as there are currently no mods for it. So you may skip it, but there may be updates in the future.
