how would 1 go about removing the trees in Nuka world? I don't want them, can I do it in xedit?

I have the feeling people who say this want desert. Well, you cant really, You can remove trees in xedit but grass and ground is still shared textures from Commonwealth, so green. Best to just disable it when playing in NW, its safe to do so

Does this mod add flora and grass? Am I safe downloading a grass mod with this one?

you can add chosen grass mods below it. be aware, Veldt has one grass type that is like 7k verts it hits fps hard. a normal grass mesh is like 8 verts. So if fps is tanking while using Veldt, its likely that one grass (unless its been edited since I last used it)

I'm curious about something.  I went and cleared Murkwater but that area seems kinda empty. Unless it is intentional but there aren't all that many trees down there and I could have sworn there were more (unless it's a different mod).

In swamp area I wanted to use some from the point lookout mod, but that team never got back to me.
Also, the more I add, the more draw calls and less performance, unless building precombines, which creates a bunch of conflicts and needed patches

Both this mod and A Forest mod break objects in my world, making them pop in and out of view and lose their collision. Uninstalling this mod fixes it, BNS natural surroundings does not have this issue, I've only ever had 1 of them installed at a time, never installed together

Care to post images or video? Because I know exactly what you are talking about and its not this mod.. Its user misunderstanding about load orders.

BNS likely has the issue too but it edits less cells around buildings. OR you have a patch. Likely you are using Boston FPS fix or PRP but don't understand what they actually do or how they can work with these mods simply by editing load order.

Otherwise, its a cell my mods edit that BNS does not (many cells) That conflicts with a mod you have with custom precombines.

If you want to say BOTH the mods I have made are broken, please provide solid proof and explain how it is the ONLY mod in your load order yet still breaking things. If you can't do this, then it's a conflict of mods, and I can't help you, not knowing your load order.

The reason this might sound harsh is, you are coming here to a public forum saying these mods break your game. This will turn others away, but it's an uneducated accusation.

Playing with the Magnum Opus modlist, and it's a great base better compiled than my own messy modlist, but for whatever it's worth I found Another Pine Forest caused me to lose 20-30 fps compared to default. Swapped it for Fallout Coniferous Revival which has near vanilla performance and a similar but less pronounced graphical impact. Probably in large part mostly the shadow rendering difference between the mods, as the latter replacement is more sparse.

Somewhat unrelated, but I also found bethini updated the fsun (fsunshadowupdatetime and fsunupdatethreshold:display) settings to a more constant update to avoid shaky shadows. This was from the ini generated via wabbajack relating to the Magnum Opus modlist.

Just throwing it out there if anyone wants a quick performance/graphics fix suffering related issues.

Shadows do impact. I put Shadow res at 512 because imo, Its not that noticeable in this game compared to the vast amount of trees and if I had to choose trees or high res shadows, I'm choosing the trees. In another game I play, dropping Shadow resolution to low, really looks ugly, But fallout its fine. IF using ENB and some of its settings related to shadows, yes it will hit hard. Pls test with first enb off and than with toggling some settings on and off before saying its cutting you 20-30 fps. I run a 1060 and get average of 50 fps. (its at times 55-60 but has less frequent areas it drops to 45.)

Also be aware, resolution you play at is a HUGE factor. On my 1060 card, I play at 1080 p. If I play at 2k, things go south.

All of this can be somewhat mitigated with using patches or your own method or rebuilding precombines, but say goodbye to compatibility.

Really, build your load order first, then once happy rebuild LOD and precombines to custom suit your load order.

start over ... learn what you are doing. activate APF only, not the PRP patch or trees only etc Trees only patch? idk what that is? is that by Cannibal toast for PRP? APF and the Trees only version are two separate mods, You have the full version active so no need for any Trees Only patches... You dont even have the master files for them. Seems you have just installed everything you could find with the name Another Pine Forest attached to it.

Absolutely beautiful job - decided to take a stab at playing Fallout 4 again after the tv show, and this is just a completely different mood. Endorsed.
