So it's been awhile the new update has gotten me to take look at this mod again. Thanks for the support. I reinstalled all the moding tools that I was using. Lol I got to see if I still remember how to do this.
Good news is that this mod has almost been done for a long time. Meaning the voice files 98% of the voice files should be edited already and I don't have to edit massive amounts of dialogue. The other 2% are ones I might have missed.
From just looking at what needs to be done I would say
Make a GOTY version.
Create a new .esp file and go through each line, listen to each one and edit the subtitles to match.
Look at the Creation Club Content and see if it needs edits.
Work on a Heavy filter, if there is enough demand for it. (This will be post 1.0 if it is done at all. This would take much more time to do)
Also have been looking to add mod support for big mods such as Sim Settlements 2. But if there was to be more I would have to come up with a system for the community to help with other mods.
I pretty much taught myself how to do this and still learning the CK. So some of this maybe quicker than I thought. I plan on chipping away at in my spare time.
Also I didn't get to all of your posts, but thanks for your kind words It gets me motivated to do more 😄.
I don't play Fallout, never had, probably never will, but it's nice this mod exists, is it possible, (if you ever want to) to make a swearing filter for Enderal? I'd love to play that but the constant f bombs by every npc is a bit tiring.
When I install this mod Nick Valentine won't talk to me when I rescue him, nor does he even say anything after Dino is dead. I think this mod might be responsible, which is a shame because I wanted to use it when making Fallout 4 YouTube videos!
Odd. Nick worked perfectly fine for me. I was able to not only rescue him, do his character quest and start Far Harbor with no issues using the filter mod(s) and XDI. Might want to give the author your loadout(obviously in spoiler tags). Have a good one!
Any chance to get this to work with fallout london... i feel like im watching T2 or Deadpool with the language in it... hard to not get slapped or streaming reasons... plus i cant let some people watch it being played. i know some people may say "well dont play a game with language" one or too times in a convo i can ignore it but when these words are said so many times i dont even know what is being asked. I have been just skipping convos and just looking at what my tasks are.
I can look at it. From what I hear it would be a pretty monumental task. Wouldn't you know not even a week after I started posting I was going start work on the mod again my life got crazy. If I can find time I would like to do it.
Would it be possible to add a patch for Sim Settlements 2 as well? Would something like this be easily patched with other mods? I have never modded before, but a mod like yours would definitely be worth the effort in patching with other mods.
While working on this again I noticed that being able to allow the user to select what swears he wanted individually, is not going to work. Not with my limited modding capabilities. As it stands it would create mod conflicts which I could solve but I would have to do it for every possible combination, and that isn't practical. So the plan is to make my usual light, medium, and Heavy filter. I am also think about making more combinations if there is one that people would like. Also possibly add Only one swear packages where if all you wanted was to edit 1 swear you could just grab that one.
thank you so much for your hard work. I decided to get back into the game with the nextgen update being released, but have been finding that many of the mods are no longer compatible. So, I am going through each mod and looking at posts to see if others are having issues with that particular mod. I finally got the game to load up, but still going through the mods and came across this mod. I am truly glad and thankful you are reviewing your mods because I did not know how to remove the curse words. I also found that buffout (mod) no longer works for the update, but was informed that he will be making an update. Again, thank you for your hard work.
Thanks. Yes I would be sick of seeing games I really wanted to play as a kid but my parents raised me right and wouldn't let me because of content. I decided to do something about it now that I am older.
how to install manually? the mod manager installed but i really think it is not working where should i place the files to install manually? do i need to start a new game after the instalation?
edit: i fixed you need to change not just fallout.ini but ALSO FALLOUTPREFS.INI , under [archives] bEnableFileSelection=1
Hey man! Thanks for creating a mod like this. I downloaded it and endorsed, but it's disabled for now. I haven't played Fallout 4 yet (or any version of the franchise), so I'd like to see what it's like with regular dialogue. I'm also a bit of an immersion nerd, too. If the language appears much too often for my tastes, then I'll enable your mod and keep it active in my playthroughs.
It's still awesome that you would think about something like this. Thanks for all of the hard work you had to go through in order to put this together!
Great mod, thank you for sharing this! However, I do have some issues here.
xEdit is saying that this mod has deleted base records - these are known to cause crashes, so you might want to take a look at that and see about getting them fixed.
I am not trying to take anything away from you, I am trying to help. Or if it is feasible, I can try to take note of where I hear it, which seems to be some raiders.
1st the only thing that should be edited right now is the base game and all the DLCs. If you are hear swears still I would say it could one of several things. * Most lively you have installed another mod that has added voice lines in that swears. * It could be a another mod that changes or replaces the base game dialogue. Such as one that replaces all the voices with higher quality versions of the original. If that is the case just install this mod after that one. * Check the description page and make sure you have the .ini settings mentioned. * Lastly I am pretty sure I got all swears if not most so there might be the odd one slip through. I that case let me know who it was that said it and what was said.
As for applying it to other mods it is done one mod at a time. I wish there was a magic wand that I could wave and edit all mods through a filter.
Load order shouldn't be an issue just use LOOT and it should work.

Other than that, I love this mod!
