Before i start...
a) Sorry to all those still using my previous Sanctuary mod cause youre going to want to use this one ... :P
b) WARNING !!!!! BEFORE INSTALLING !!!complete the Cosworth quest at the beginning because major terrain changes and building removals will cause issues and you wont be able to complete the quest...
Now lets start...
This my dear friends is something VERY new and a totally different approach to a Sanctuary overhaul...
Its a "makeover"... Its a transformation into what looks like a location from somewhere else (far harbor)...
Everything has been changed from massive terrain changes to a whole different type of feel of the location...
Once you enter from Redrocket im sure your first thought will be " WTF " !!...hehe ( also suggested that you start from red rocket to discover it...)
Personally i completed Cosworth...then went to gather up Preston and the gang but saved and exited before returning to Sanctuary. THEN i installed the mod and loaded the game...and walked there....
Going around the corner after red rocket is like getting hit by a sledgehammer in the face...as soon as you see the "monster" i created ... :P
Ok enough babbling...
What we have is...
a) a lot of buildings for housing,jobs,recreation etc. All done in the same style...
b) an island with a cabin type building to either use for yourselves or pretend it belongs to some old fishermen...
c) a church which is quite creepy especially at night...
d) a gigantic pier with a fish farm (the boats are set dressing but really add to the atmosphere)...(caught Preston feeding the fish while on patrol )
e) a great little bar/diner overlooking the river (great view )
f) several guard towers done in wood with assignable markers that are in the form of ammo boxes (ammo box sits next to the NPC.. )Also a artillery canon thats assignable.
g) a lot of power pylons(utility poles) that you can use to cover the whole settlement .They are wooden and look much more realistic than those ugly mini steel towers ( suggested mod for these is the Longer power lines mod
h) diner and vendor counters are assignable as is the clinic desk. ( wanted to make fish gutting and weighing assignable but still havent figured it out )
i) a secret area !!! ( this started as "hey why not expand this little room a bit "...2 days later was still adding to it :P )
Explore the settlement because you are going to need something to access it ;).
j) 2 gens (30 power) ,one behind the garage and another down at the pier. Both close to electrical poles to start your power cabling...
Hell thats enough ...
So much stuff im not sure i can remember it all...so go and discover it.
Some technical stuff...
a) after several tests with fresh starts and dirty saves ,the only thing i found was the baby crib behind our house...
You can scrap it.. Because i replaced it in the mod...
Also the power armor bench may need to be moved a bit .
The workbench in the "secret area" is not part of the main settlement but you can use it to build there.
The main file has precombined and vis data BUT i also kept a copy of the esp BEFORE generating precomb/vis which i can upload if anyone needs it..
I tested the mod before even generating data walking around from abernathy to concord with zero visual issues or framerate issues.
Very important !!!!
You have A DOG ,A WOLF and Bella the cow..... They all move around (Bella stays on her island but may leave to wander in the town)..The wolf and dog patrol most of the area and will assist in defense...
As usual i added minimal furniture.
The build area is as large as the sanctuary island( well its all surrounded by a river :P )
You have more than enough space to build and create.
