This is one of my must have mods now. This combined with Puddle Reflection Fix and Luxor's Clean Water make a great road to walk. I also use the alternate textures for when I run a dry wasteland setup. Just so much better in screenshots and just wandering around for my videos.
no because its not just texture. it actually swaps worldspace records. although a small mod, making it an esl will break other mods that have their own precombines, such as beantown interiors or Tales of the Commonwealth (fixed) for example. esl's ignore load order and you will get walls etc flickering in and out if using it with any mods that have custom Precombines
I could make it a simple texture mod, but then it would replace all puddles, which I didn't want to do.
@Oynlen: You can flag an esp file with the esl flag and keep the .esp extension so it won't use a regular load order slot but you can also move the plugin in the load order wherever you want. Best of both worlds so to speak.
Agreed (though I'm a different Blaze; I'm the one with no modding skills to speak of.) I know the puddles can be nightmarish. Tell you the truth they resemble puddles from underneath internal combustion cars (which, need I remind, had been phased out over 250 years previous to game time) and I have extreme issues with those; a friend of mine had a beloved cat that slipped out and drank from one with antifreeze leakage. It was hideous. Hated the damn leak-puddles ever since.
"I could make it a simple texture mod, but then it would replace all puddles, which I didn't want to do" Well, can you still do that, but make it an optional file for those who do want it to just be a full replacer?
