    Do you know where I can change the bloody speed-up time of the damned thing?
    3 seconds is just insane: they fire up in reality in 0.3 seconds, but have a long spin down.

      I would like to know that myself. But for the sake of balance its best to leave as it is.

      Why on Earth would I do that?
      It's not logical to leave that as is, reality is a b*tch, sadly, I like reality.
      A 3 second spin up is INSANE...

      Besides: speaking balance and minigun in the same sentence is impossible.
      I fired the minigun a few times in the army, rest assured, not a bloody thing gets near us when the enemy advances.
      It (the XM134) fires 7.62×51mm NATO NATO rounds at 5K to 10K RPM (short Burst RoF) (one can set the RoF as low as 3K rounds, but this is not really common), usually fired at about 6K RPM.
      It's even better than a professional chainsaw, trust me.

      man you came here talking about immersion while you can shot the damn thing just by holding it???

      i dare you to fire a minigun without using a pedestal mount.......
      technically you should be able to fire it ONLY with the power armour on.


      btw. i second you, the spin up is crazy long. on top of that, there should be no living creature able to survive more than 1 sec of minigun's burst in the face......but then again, we are talking about a game that has a freaking "nuclear slingshot".......

      If we're talking about reality, a minigun can cut a hole the size of a basketball in a car from 100 yards away, mounted on a helicopter. The spread on videogame miniguns has never been accurate and it's always bothered me.

      Videogame accuracy is also just ridiculous, when you're not aiming down the sights you can't hit a thing but IRL the weapon doesn't get worse if you're not aiming

      To remove spin up time, under flags set charging attack to 0 on the base gun.

      Minigun is ridiculously under-powered in this game. It supposed to be a weapon of mass murder, but instead any rifle will easily do more DPS. To those talking nonsense about not being able to hold and fire it. That's true, that you wouldn't be able to do that in real life, but then there is no power armor in a real life either and you really supposed to only use this kind of weapons along power armor. That's how it was in previous games and that's just the common sense. And there is nothing wrong with wanting this weapon to be more or less realistic instead of being totally useless. And vanilla minigun is exactly that, a useless garbage. It should do at least 100 damage per shot with all heavy weapons perks. Will it be overpowered? Who gives a !uck? This is not an online game and this is what minigun supposed to be. Otherwise I just can't justify carring all that weight.

    The RoF is more appropriate now. As for the damage, I think it's fine as it is (8 in vanilla). If I'm not mistaken you didn't changed the damage, or at least in my game is still 8 without perks.
    The accuracy should be tweaked a little bit more imo. It's funny how Bethesda thinks that a minigun gets more inaccurate the longer it fires...

    For balance purposes it may be a bit OP, but hey it's realistic. Bethesda shouldn't add a minigun to the game then.

    I looted an Explosive version of the minigun. Without any of the appropriate perks it still turned everything in front of me to a red mist.

    I used an incendiary triple barrel shredder version with Strong... and he just rocked with that.

    the only companion I never had to babysit.

    too bad he can't sneak, even with perks, but there's good and bad to that.

    the bad of course, is that I can rarely sneak up on enemies.

    the good is... they also still rarely notice me because they are all trying to attack Strong, so I still get my sneak attacks, if a bit on the chaotic side.

    I've been using your mod for a long while because the minigun was completly useless in survival mode, now I got the explosive minigun so I might turn the mod off, but your mod is really needed on survival, it doesn't make it overpowered at all, it just make the minigun useful like any other weapons! Thanks!

    Legendary Explosive Minigun with all Big Guns / Explosive perks = 200 damage per bullet (+AoE).
    I've been mowing down entire 30+ man groups (3x spawn mod) in seconds with that.

    I remember I had like 5000 bullets for the minigun, and I went to a trailer park that had a few ghouls in it, and I ended up using up every last bullet clearing out just that trailer park. By comparison, it would have taken me less than 30 shotgun shells to do the same thing.

    I don't think increasing the damage on the mini-gun would be unbalanced at all.

    A standard minigun has a fire rate of at least 3000 rounds per minute or 50 rounds per second. I would mod it around that.

    I found a legendary drop minigun with explosive rounds..... Meaning this mod isn't needed for me
