This mod properly patches the mod "Crossbows of the Commonwealth" for FROST.
There already is a patch for this mod? Why should I use your version?
There already is a patch for this mod on the Nexus, called "FROST - Crossbows of the Commonwealth - Patch" from Grohikk.
The patch from is really bad, so I decided to make a better patch.
Why is the patch from Grohikk bad?
Their patch only merges the levelled lists from FROST and the Crossbows mod, but does not de-level the Crossbows. This leads to a very big problem: The higher the player level, the higher the chance that enemies carry crossbows with them. This leads to scenarios where survivors almost only use crossbows instead of other weapons.
Why is this patch better?
My patch also does some balance changes to the crossbows. It is now harder to craft ammo for them and less ammo can now be found on enemies and containers. In return, the crossbows are now stronger. All these changes are similar to other FROST balance changes.
Also all the issues from Grohikk's patch are fixed in my patch.
With my patch, you will have a proper FROST experience with the crossbows.
Load Order?
Do not use my patch and the patch from Grohikk at the same time!
It should be save to switch mid-game from Grohikk's patch to my patch.
