Hey you. Hope you're havin' a great day! I decided to get all my mods in order over here before Ian gets the new F4SE created but in the process I've encountered an old bug :black chrome. I pretty much have 0 mods installed so I'm a little at a loss. You have some ideas that could help and old friend? You are the textures master after all ...

Try my Cubemaps Fix loose Files Version. Under optional files. That could fix it.

Fixed it. Thanks. I didn't even see the cubemaps fix in your list. I hate this damned bug but it rears it's head every new install it seems. You are a life saver; or at least a saver from serious headaches... EDIT: BTW...your textures all work fine even with the new update...

I have 1-9 and the DLC textures and they all at present appear to working as intended. I know your work so it's easy to see the tell tale signs. You have little "signatures" in your textures and I can spot 'em. ...Of course it's not the realism level achieved in SF but, it's very nice.

Great mod, using it with MO2 without issue. Except, the tires textures are twisted (for example 3a640). I've nothing else that edits tires' records, textures, or meshes. According to MO2, Textures/SetDressing/Tires/* are all coming from Luxor Textures1 and Textures2 BA2s. Not sure about the meshes as the nif path xEdit shows isn't shown by MO2, but I'm guessing MO2 doesn't report things coming the base game archives.

    For example:
    Spoiler:

that issue is caused by the parallax effect. has nothing to do with my textures.

Thanks. Do you mean having parallax on via ENB causes this to happen with the textures from Luxor HD? Or that I have some other mod messing up parallax with tires specifically? Or that I have screwed up my parallax setup (which would be my guess/most likely).

FWIW, I worked around this by just pulling the contents of SetDressing/Tires from vanilla's Textures1 and Textures2 BA2s into a loose mod to overwrite and all is well (but not as nice as yours of course)

as i said, that's caused by the enbseries parallax effect.

Got it. Thanks again. As I said, using the vanilla textures for tires only and leaving Luxor HD in place for everything gets rid of the problem, so no worries.

Another option is to deactivate the effect in your enbseries.ini file. In the [EFFECT] section set EnableComplexParallax=false.

Good point Stormie, and thanks for the detailed guide on disabling. Of course, then I'd not be able to use Luxor's own Complex Parallax mod (and of course a few other parallax mods). Good call though.

I am a little late to the party, but could you please upload the files you used in order to fix the tire problem?
  4. Hi, I know it's been a long while since you've worked on this mod. Hopefully you still check Nexus from time to time. I have a question. I'm getting back into Fo4 after playing newer games that spoiled me with their graphics so I'm downloading your mod.

My question is about the file for "FO4 HD Overhaul HD LOD Textures". I see it's in the Optional section, but how much a difference visually does it make along with the rest of this mod? I searched in the comments and saw people asked about using it to generate their own LOD... is it a mod resource? Is generating our own LOD an option in the game with this file? I'm kinda a noob when it comes to FO4 mods and it's been so long since I played that I forget what the in-game graphics menu is like or if we even have the option of adjusting LOD in the game.

Anywho, best wishes, and thanks for taking the time for such an overhaul. Can't wait to see how good the game looks now.

Nope. That's not how modding works. If you don't know how to mod the game look youtube for beginner guides.

Have you ever checked how many BA2 archives the original game has? No? My mod has the exact same number of BA2 archives as the original game, excluding the optional files. I'm speaking about the GOTY edition.

i believe what kellersab meant was one big folder containing all the other downloads that you can then put in their respective spots so you dont have to download them all individually

I have a simple question because I use this HD texture pack and it's FLAWLESS!!!!!!!

Is there any point at using any other landscape mods???

I really considered Boston Natural Surroundings, Borealis, Perfect landscapes but those are no-no's to me it seems. I would like more trees or lush trees or a bit more color but again, these textures are FLAWLESS in my game.  Game actually runs noticeably better now so I don't want these overwritten by lesser quality textures.

As of now.............this mod IS MY landscape overhaul

Depends on your taste. If you like the vanilla desolated environment then there's no reason to install other mods.

Im a little late but yes you do, you download all 9 and then paste them into your Fallout 4 Data folder. It will have a little popup and click replace all files or whatever

      Nine?

I see fifteen (15) of them in the Main Files list... it really would be nice if that was first in the Description section. It takes just a few seconds to keep this kind of confusion at bay.

      For ex:
      1. Download all main files (then to use either copy/paste or use a mod manager)
      2. Download optional files as you need them.

So... is this what you did? Because I'd like to get past the crappy original HD (and that ugly black face that no patch ever got rid of)... and pick one of those hosted here that works. Some of these are really hefty in size, so it's nice to read people's experiences.

I've downloaded & installed every version here via MO2, yet my textures still look bad. I downloaded this mod a little while ago via vortex (diff save, NG patch) and remember it looking much better..? I also think I remember there being an option to choose which level of quality (1k, 2k, 4k) for each version, though I could be wrong.. I have no other texture mods aside from HP Weapons, Wet, BNS trees.

    What am I missing here?

I'm here searching the comments with a similar question.  I have NG and as far as I'm aware you have to have dummy .esp files to activate the archives in MO2, but I notice this one doesn't have any... so would MO2 ignore them?

Use for while and I can say that it's running just fine, no problem so far. The thing with this mod is that it's intended to be manually installed, not through MO2 so there's no .esp and you will have to create it urself if you want to do so.
