Push the button. Roll a D20. It's only 100 caps. You never know what you'll get!

Build this little button stand in your settlement.
Press the button.
100 Caps are removed from your inventory, if you have them (DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON WITH LESS THAN 100 CAPS).
A red D20 (20-sided die) is rolled.
This has no bearing on what happens next.
A random item is teleported in.
This could be anything from a StimPak to a legendary deathclaw. I added a LOT of options.
You could win 10,000 caps. The chance of this happening is currently 1 in 200 (you have to spend 20,000 caps to win 10,000)
It can kill you. The chance of this happening is currently 1 in 20,000 but that could change.
Update:
The dice can now be crafted into grenades at the chem bench... Toss one anywhere for the same 100 caps. Just be sure you have the 100 caps on you. Just saying. Oh, and it can still kill you. The odds of this happening are a little worse with the portable, ahem, die.
