About this mod

Curie, Piper and Cait (1 ,2 or all 3) Will appear as my version of Synth companions. They are a custom race (MG Synths) and can equip custom Head gear, Neck pieces, Mech Skeletons, Underarmor, Underarmor Plates and Bodysuits. Armor slots have several tiers and a wide variety of materials swaps.

INTRODUCTION

Initially this mod was planned to use IKAROS Androids as a master so that Curie would become an IKAROS android. Unfortunately I was unable to get permission to use the assets so I made this mod.

MG Synths (Curie Piper Cait as Synth Companions) is influenced by IKAROS Androids but is very different. This mod only changes Curie, Piper and/or Cait (1,2 or all 3), the female Player Hero cannot use this mod and other NPCs cannot equip any of the armor pieces.

MG Synths Have great Sneak, are all quiet. They are invulnerable to fall damage, poison and radiation (Vanilla Perks).

MG Synths Base body is the Synth Gen1 Skeleton. You can craft at the Chemistry Station several new Armors, Head Gear and Helmets, Shoes, Boots and High Heels., Neck, Bodysuit Hands and Feet, UnderArmor Hands and Feet and 3 MechSkel Heads. The main Armor Piece contains a BodySuit, an UnderArmor body, a MeckSkel, Wrist and Ankle Joints/Covers. Every single piece can be customised  at the Armor Workbench. Customisations include Armor Size, Armor Tier, Armor Linings, Balistic Weaves, Lengendaries and Countless Material Swaps. Armor ranks are from MK1 to MK5. MK5 will give you the greatest amount of cutomisation but at a greater cost of course. So As the player levels up, with the right perk choices, the player will be able to Craft numerous armor pieces as well as apply Mods and Material Swaps.

* TPC = Textured Polycarbonate (can be several colors and texture can be either smooth or carbon fiber)

LOAD ORDER

Make sure MG_Synths.esp is loaded after any mods that change the target companion.

LIST OF ARMOR PIECES

All the following armor pieces can only be worn by MG Synths. They may equip on the player but they will be invisible and have no stat effects.

  • Wigs made with "Azar poney tails" (thx Azar for the permission to use your meshes) Please download his mod and endorse. These wigs were made mainly for Curie since it is not possible to edit her using the LooksMenu. Cait and Piper can also wear them. When most helmets are equiped the wigs will be unequiped. Wigs will not unequip the Head Skin and the 3 Piece Helmet.

  • Head Skin
Can be either Skin colored with Carbon Fiber (CF) texture or TPC. The TPC version can be material swapped. See TPC description above.

NOTE: All Helmets can be Material Swapped to match UnderArmor or Bodysuit.
NOTE: Some Helmets can be warn over the Head Skin.

INSTALLATION

Download the required files and just drop the contents in the Fallout 4/Data/folder. With the main file there will not be any overwrites of any game files.
Once installed activate the MG_Synths.esp with the in game tool or any other app. of your choice.

If you install an update it's the same procedure as above but Yes to overwrite. The overwrites will only be MG_Synths files - No game files.

UNINSTALLATION

Make sure you have installed the latest update first. This update contains ShowLooksMenu presets and 3 bat files that will be needed.

  1. Create new save. Quit game
  2. Deactivate the MG_Synths.esp
  3. Start game. Curie and/or Cait and/or Piper should all be back to their base self. Create new save. Quit game
  4. With a file browser navigate to Fallout 4/Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/     Delete the MG_Synth folder
  5. With a file browser navigate to Fallout 4/Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/CharacterAssets/     Delete the MG_SynthRace____.txt files (if you have updated this mod)
  6. then navigate to Fallout 4/Data/Textures/Actors/Character/     Delete the MG_Synth folder
  7. then navigate to Fallout 4/Data/Materials/Actors/Character/     Delete the MG_Synth folder
  8. then navigate to Fallout 4/Data/ and delete MG_Synths.esp
  9. Start game. Load the last save

IF Piper or Cait look weird use the ShowLooksMenu (SLM) on them. LooksMenu is required.

  1. Stand in front of Piper (optional: its nice to see if it works in real time).
  2. Open the console
  3. type "SLM 2F1F"
  4. Exit console
  5. R) PRESETS
  6. E) LOAD "() Reset Use this before back to Normals"
  7. E) LOAD "() Piper back to Normal"
  8. Enter) DONE
  9. Confirm character "OK"

  1. Stand in front of Cait (optional: its nice to see if it works in real time)
  2. Open the console
  3. type "SLM 79305"
  4. Exit console
  5. R) PRESETS
  6. E) LOAD "() Reset Use this before back to Normals"
  7. E) LOAD "() Cait back to Normal"
  8. Enter) DONE
  9. Confirm character "OK"

NOTE: you could actually stand anywhere, open the console and execute the commands you need one after the other and close console. Should work.

IF Piper, Cait or Curie are naked and you want to reset them to the original clothes do the following.


For Piper
  1. Stand in front of Piper (optional: its nice to see if it works in real time)
  2. Open the console
  3. type "bat ResetPiperItems"
  4. Exit console

For Cait
  1. Stand in front of Cait (optional: its nice to see if it works in real time)
  2. Open the console
  3. type "bat ResetCaitItems"
  4. Exit console

For Curie
  1. Stand in front of Curie (optional: its nice to see if it works in real time)
  2. Open the console
  3. type "bat ResetCurieItems"
  4. Exit console

NOTE: you could actually stand anywhere, open the console and execute the commands you need one after the other and close console. Should work.

Optional:

  1. With a file browser navigate to Fallout 4/Data/F4SE/Plugins/F4EE/
  2. Delete the "(MG) ........"  .json files.
  3. Delete the "() Reset Use this before back to Normals" "() Piper back to Normal" "() Cait back to Normal" .json files.

HIGH HEELS

There are several High Heel Boots availlable at the Chemistry Station. Make sure you have installed  Fallout 4 High Heels System so that the High Heel Boots stay level to ground. When equiping a set of High Heels the high heels system does not immediately adjust the height. To get immediate results quit trade, then go back in trade and equip a helmet (haven't tried with something else).


FUTURE PLANS

  • Add a few MKs models of the Gen1 Skeleton for those who prefer to stay with that.
  • I may make an esp so that the player can be a MG Synth.
