About this mod
A reshade mod that gives much more ambient occlusion (best i've seen so far) and heavy contrast.
- Permissions and credits
The Reshade AO can be turned off in game with the Pause Break key, and the effects can also be toggled on and off with Scroll Lock, both of these keys can be remapped. The AO on the reshade plugins do not currently respect distance fog, so having a toggle key is vital to turn it off when it looks weird or if you prefer not to use it.
Please turn off the in-game ambient occlusion and in-game depth of field as they will cause plants to flicker.
To do this Open Fallout4Prefs.ini and find these lines.
bSAOEnable=0
bDoDepthOfField=0
You will notice a flicker on the plants anyway, this is not a bug with the Reshade mod, but artifacting from TXAA the ingame antialiasing and the plant animations. The deeper contrast and darker background provided by the AO makes the plant pixels movement very noticeable.
I have uploaded a version with reduced flickering for those that notice it too much. But it lowers the AO quality a bit.
