Version 1
Initial upload.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-DISCLAIMER-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- To get any use out of this file you will still need to have official content, the CR-74L Creation from the Creation Club. This does not bypass or otherwise grant you access to said content on it's own. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-DISCLAIMER-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Here I am again with another personal modification of some Creation Club content I thought other folks might like. I love the CR-74L - it's a cool looking weapon, it's a post-war creation, collaboration among the common folk of the Wasteland, getting it early and upgrading it as you go felt really nice for a "signature" weapon. asXas is a badass modeler and gun maker so I'm always happy to have one of their items in my hands. But I don't really like the Commando playstyle, so I added options.
NEW IN 1.1 - I've improved ever so slightly in my modding skills from garbage to potentially valuable refuse and have added the new receivers as options with the same unlock requirements as their automatic components. These new "Carbine" versions use Rifleman perks as they turn the weapon into a semi-automatic. In keeping with the theme of being a more powerful Combat Rifle for the common Wastelander, it does slightly more damage than a Nuka World Handmade Rifle (40 instead of 32) but doesn't have quite the range or long distance accuracy without requisite upgrades. In addition, I've changed the firing sounds to that of the aforementioned Handmade Rifle as I feel they're just nicer all around and the original sound of the CR-74L, while unique, doesn't lend itself well to single shots.
Also, as I feel the "Made by Settlers, for Settlers" theme of the weapon's quests and history is really strong, after you complete the quest Combat Ready and acquire all of the upgrades, you'll be able to craft basic CR-74Ls at the Chemlab under UTILITY for the cost of all of their basic option weapon modifications. Your Minutemen, Brotherhood Aspirants, Synth Troopers and Railroad Heavies in your settlements can now have a mass produced, "New World" weapon at their disposal.
Credits The xEdit Team, this was made entirely in FO4Edit asXas for their work on the CR-74L Creation Bethesda for the game People who download this to validate me on thinking it's a cool gun but preferring Rifleman, you the real MVP.
