About this mod

Assign settlers to supply lines with Diamond City and place an optional Bunker Hill trade post outside Fallon's Basement.

There are several mods that allow you to create supply lines with Home Plate, but none I've found that create supply lines with Diamond City itself. This mod belatedly rectifies that – which primarily means no more brahmin wandering into your house.

Please be aware it makes some very minor technical changes to the world space.* The only user-facing impact should be that Diamond City Market is removed from the Pip-Boy map but I can't 100% guarantee it, so I recommend completing the main questline and Diamond City-based side quests before enabling. Also, if you have any mods that change the appearance of Diamond City, make sure they go BELOW this one in your load order. Otherwise just install the mod as you would any other, enable, and start assigning settlers to supply lines with the Great Green Jewel.

Additionally, I have now uploaded an optional mod to replace the bench outside Fallon's Basement with a Bunker City trade post. This one makes some minor changes to the layout of Diamond City, moving one of the shack panels on the floor to create space for the trade post, so it may clash with other DC-centric mods. Put it below them in your mod order to prioritise it, although the trade post itself should spawn regardless.

*Specifically, it moves the Fens Street Sewer exterior cell out of the Diamond City location and moves the Home Plate cell from the Diamond City location to the Commonwealth parent location. If you're not sure what any of that means, don't worry about it! Your playthrough shouldn't be affected beyond the aforementioned changes.

Anticipated FAQs:

Do I need both mods if I want a Bunker Hill trade post but not a supply line?
Bunker Hill merchants will only appear at settlements. Without the Diamond City supply line mod, DC won't be classified as a settlement, so yes, you need both mods for the trade post to be anything other than decorative.

Why did you delete the Diamond City Market map marker?
You know how sometimes, your Pip-Boy shows the supply line to Boston Airport as going to the Prydwen instead? That sort of thing would have happened. Which admittedly isn't a huge deal, but it would have also meant your Pip-Boy would have shown the market as having a settler population (the same population as DC itself). It's for similar reasons that I made the changes to the Fens Street Sewer and Home Plate map markers. I could have added DC Market back in, but honestly, I never thought it served much purpose beyond cluttering up the map.

Wait, the Pip-Boy shows Diamond City as having a settler population now? Does that mean I can send settlers there?
Only by using additional mods or console commands. This mod sets the population of Diamond City at 68, which is (1) the approximate number of NPCs there, and (2) higher than any non-modded population limit you're likely to have. Subsequently, when you send settlers between locations, Diamond City will be greyed out in the list. In case you absolutely insist on sending settlers there, I've added ample resources for them to be happy enough, although since there's no build area, they'll just stand at the spawn point.

Could there have been a build area?
Yes, but for various reasons, I decided against it. If there's sufficient demand, I might make a version you can build in later.

How is the happiness of the Diamond City NPCs calculated?
I have no idea. By default, it seems to fluctuate randomly between 0 and 50%. I've added a base of 50 to it, so it should always be between 50 and 100% when you hover over DC on your Pip-Boy map, but beyond that, I couldn't tell you. I've mainly added the 50 for aesthetic purposes anyway – even if the happiness rating dropped to 0, you wouldn't be able to lose Diamond City as a supply line location. It's there for good.

Can I assign Diamond City NPCs to supply lines?
Not unless it's a settler you've relocated. Usually you'll have to go to the non-DC settlement you want to create the supply line with and assign a settler from there.

Will the Diamond City workbenches be connected to my Home Plate workshop?
Yes! Anything in your Home Plate workshop will be accessible from the Diamond City workbenches; however, because of the way workshops work, you won't be able to access your supply network when building inside Home Plate. That would require a supply line directly to the Home Plate workshop, but then… brahmin.

Are you sure you're telling me everything?
Okay, fine: Home Plate will now appear on your compass when you're in the Commonwealth, rather than when you're in Diamond City. But I think that's it.
