Throw down autonomous mines that seek out their target and self destruct. Never walk alone.

Adds new autonomous mines! General Atomics International created prototypes of these in direct response to China's Spider mines (as seen in the Operation Anchorage DLC for Fallout 3).
The little mines can be crafted, thrown, picked up and so on. You can even get one as a friend. Read more under How to Play below.




The below video I wasn't sure on if the game engine could handle 100 of them but there you have it lol




The mines have to be crafted at a Chemistry bench under AUTOMINE but only after you locate the one at Poseidon Energy in the south east corner of the map. This mine can be found in the main reward room of the dungeon with Cutty, in the upper levels.

For console commands: help mine 4 weap

To use:
Equip like normal mines and throw them as you normally would. If no target can be found, the mine will stick by you until a target is detected. Then, off it goes.
Activate the mine to pick it back up, but only if it hasn't already locked onto a target.

PROS:
-Autonomous
-Stealthy, their kills aren't traced back to you
-Will stay by your side until there is a target

CONS:
-You gain no XP from their work
-While you and your companion(s) aren't targets, anybody else could be, even non-hostiles...
-You can get caught in the attacks

About your new friend:
Your new friend, Sparky, is a damaged Auto Mine. The little guy can't detonate :/
He will hang around you unless he gets spooked, in which case he will hide until it is safe again. We believe it is a robot's equivalent of psychological trauma. However, he's taken a liking to you!
Note he doesn't count as a follower so you don't have to dismiss anyone.
You can also dismiss him to a settlement by talking to him.




Installs like any other mod. No DLC or Mod requirements. Install with NMM/Vortex or enable through the Mods menu in Fallout 4.


Vanilla compatibility: This mod makes a persistent edit to the Poseidon Energy interior. Doesn't break precombined.
Mod compatibility: For mod patches, (Horizon, AWKR whatever lol, etc) contact me should you make your own for upload to the Nexus so I can post links below.
For Mod Authors: This mod uses 'AUMN' as the shorthand for all form ID's and file paths.
