This mod will soon be redundant. I am working on another mod now that is going to be quite extensive and having textures done by Leyr.
It will be more Lore friendly than this, But, providing Leyr agrees, I will be hoping to add some of the N7 elements to it as an optional or seperate mod download, accompanied by some other goodies Ive been working on (N7 lasers, pip boy, etc).

Playing this one a bit quiet until we are ready to release, but I will no longer be working on this mod, instead looking to use the hopefully much better mod we are working on and convert it to my N7 collection as an alternative.

I may revisit this mod, however, if the other mod takes a different turn or if the final product doesnt suit the N7 theme.

      Hi thanks for the update.
While you are at it please consider a more beaten up - grungy version of N7.

Probably not, not for this mod anyway. The new mod I am working on will have oth clean and dirty so if i do make an N7 version out of it then yes you will have the grungy version, but this will all depend on the finished product of the textures im getting made and if theyll even suit an N7 theme or not. Im leaving design in the hands of the texturer

I do understand there is a point when people move on from a mod they finished, but before you do can a craftable version be released?

So this new mod that you guys are working on, will it be based on this N7 armor concept or totally different? I hope you guys come out with something awesome. Cant wait already. xD

It will be a standard armor, but I'm hoping to convert it to an N7 armor as I'm picturing it to suit it as well, will wait to see how the textures turn out, if not I will revisit this one in time

If possible with either the new project or an alternate, Kai Lengs ME3 armor would work really well here - cybernetic eyes for the helmet etc. Either way, this armor hasn't come off my character since I installed it, ace work!

As awesome as Kai Lengs ME3 armor looks, theres just no real good meshes that I can use to really pull it off, Ill keep it in mind though once people start releasing more completely new armors, if someone gets an armor mesh that would fit it well enough then ill give it a crack.

In the meantime, Here's a progress shot of my next one, almost done the base textures but still have a long way to go (ill give you a hint, its more than just an armor mod, it will integrate in to the game in a unique way).

I love this mod! I use the different colored suits to color code my settlers and provsioners. Red for Security and White for provisioners. I'd love to see a couple of other colors too =) My biggest question is... is this version CBBE Compatible? I can't seem to figure out how to adapt it to my chosen body style... in vanilla CBBE clothing Cait is well, well endowed, and when I put her in N7, she looses about about 2 Chest and Hip sizes

Could you please remove the canteen in your future project?  No soldier would wear it there, where it is hard to reach, hard to put away, and makes it impossible to sit down comfortably.

    Update 1.7 -
Compresses the Mod into a BA2 for more efficient loading
Makes the armor craftable at the ChemLab under Utility

-Due to DLC and other issues with compatibility some FormIDs have changed, You may lose the armor you already have, but you can now easily re-craft it in the Utility Section Under the Chemlab.

-I will be doing a few color variations to the underlay, Besides that is there anything anyone has noticed could be adjusted ? I think all and all the mod is pretty much done, but if anyone has any thoughts feel free to share.

    Public Announcement:

I am no longer modding fallout 4, at least not for now.
However I have handed my mods over to a few people.

Better Armor and Weapon Naming and Sorting - This is now being handled by "BottleTopMan" and will be updated to work with DLC

Scouter - This is being handled by Karel2015, who has ported this to work on console. He is also working on modifying the vanilla scripts that this uses to fix some of the inconsistencys. The mod was made pre-CK and script editing wasnt a viable option so I had to make do with whatever scripts were already available in the vanilla game, hence the pipboy icon popup when using the focus effect.

N7 Armor Standalone - This mod is also being taken over from Karel2015. Again, he has ported this to Beth.net for consoles, and will also be making modifications, I believe he has some more colours planned for the short term among other things.

N7 Vaultsuit is a dead mod as it is included and updated in the above listed N7 armor mod.

My BattleArmor mods are, for now, dead, and unless anyone has plans to finish it (after contacting me) it will likely not eventuate, however, I would still like to take it back up in the future once the available tools are more functional. It is possible to do what I want now, but it involves a lot of workarounds which id rather avoid.

The BattleArmor textures were added as an optional combat armor material upgrade, I will talk to Karel2015 and see if he would like to do a quick console port, however I wont be finishing the helmet textures yet.

Any other mods not listed here to do with fallout 4, can be expected to be dead, I think theres just a few patch mods and a terrible reshade preset.

    To make things clear:

I GIVE PERMISSION FOR THE ABOVE-MENTIONED MODS TO BE UPLOADED AND MODIFIED TO BETHESDA.NET BY THE PERSON WHOM IVE ALLOCATED, BEING KAREL2015 AND BOTTLETOPMAN.
I HAVE ALSO GIVEN KAREL2015 PERMISSION TO INCLUDE ANY ASSETS OF MINE INCLUDED IN ANY OF MY MODS TO BE USED IN HIS OWN MODS WITH CREDIT. IF HE USES THEM THEY ARE ALLOWED TO BE INCLUDED IN HIS MOD ARCHIVE ITSELF.

That should clear up any issues.

Any chance I could get Ruddy88's and/or Karel2015's permission to include the vault suit texture assets directly as a part of the Vault Suit Compatibility Patch (with credit back to this mod in the description)?

The armor pieces (not the suits though) show up named Combat Armor instead of their proper names. It's merely a naming issue, since the items still function normally and have the appropriate look (i.e. they don't show up as actual Combat Armor, they are just named as such).

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I looked at the entries in FO4Edit but there doesn't seem to be an issue there, and comparing the suits (which are coming out with their proper names) and the armor pieces did not immediately reveal any glaring inconsistencies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simple fix in the creation kit.Go to their Armor files (not armor Addon file) and change the name field directly below the File Name field (DO NOT change the File Name) then save, that's all you have to do. Thanks for the heads up since I'm downloading the file as I type.

5 smiley seal of 100% approval!!!!! I endorse and highly recommend this mod!!!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

I had difficulties getting the combat armor portion of the mod to function properly and ended up using Black Combat Armor instead. However, the reason I rate this mod so highly is for the under armor, gloves and beret. These three pieces work perfectly and are always in my inventory and equipped about 99% of the time. I used the blue suit first but then changed to red when I painted my power armor in hot rod red flames. The under armor and accessories work flawlessly in the set up I've created. I always wear my N7 under armor with the Black Combat armor even in my power armor because I eventually need to step out of my power armor to do things I can't do in PA like hack terminals on desks with a chair that's too close to the desk.
I shared a few screenshots in appreciation for your efforts to create this excellent set.
As for the combat armor portion of this mod Vortex may have mis-installed it or I may have messed up so I do not pass blame as it's probably my fault. But, whether I go through the console or chem station I only get options for a half and half suit, one half medium and one half light. Don't know why, I just made due with the pieces that I like and moved on. The pieces I use work so well that I have no complaints. Thank you!

What happened?! The helmet used to have a visor that would open and close depending on if you were in combat or not. The helmet you have now looks out of place; it doesn't fit. Otherwise, it's a great armor. You should really do the visor thing, though.

I never did the visor. Animated helmets didnt come about until the DLC was released which was well and truly after this mod was released.
You are either thinking of another mod (theres other N7 mods) or Karel2015 (took over the mod for me) modified something (I doubt it).

Hello! So downloading v1.7 is all I need right? I do not have to download the other old versions? And I am assuming this is only unlockable at lvl 25?
I also typed in help n7 4 and got this 'ghoulskin' item name for it. Of course it did not allowed me to add it to my item. Oh well sucks for me

As a Mass Effect fan, I've been using parts of this N7 armor since its release, with HN66's Sirius 12 Armor underneath. Since the Sirius Armor has 2K textures, the N7 parts stick out like a sore thumb, looking quite murky in contrast to the higher resolution Sirius armor.

Is there any chance of the N7 getting a higher res makeover, please?

      not gonna happen.
this was one of my first mods I made and was done by retexturing existing textures.
as such the quality isn't great.
to make them higher resolution I'd have to start over from scratch and I just don't have the motivation for that.

      Fair enough. Thanks for replying

Wonder what happened between December 2015 and July 2016 that made you go from this über-enthusiastic, full of beans fellar with plans to take over the world, to an almost burned-out sounding dude who's no longer into modding, at least not for this game...

I lost all my files for fo4mods, I didnt lose the bug for modding in general, I went back to Skyrim and started working on some things. I am actually back on to FO4 now but I am working on more game tweak type stuff as opposed to new mesh/texture type stuff.
Much of my more sour attitude came about over time from entitled people being incredibly disrespectful and unnappreciative for work the work that goes in to things (its an attitude that is shared amongst a lot of more seasoned modders, not categorising myself as a seasoned modder, but I definitely understand why they can appear as dismissive at times).

In any case, I am back now and working on some things, I just got over the game too quickly, the story and role play options just aren't as convincing as other titles and makes it hard for me to stay interested.
There's also more modability now with better mesh support and whatnot so a lot of those previous brickwalls that were constantly hindering me will now hopefully be able to bypass. I dont have nearly as much time though s mods are worked on quite slowly at the moment.

Funny how a lot of people (and that includes myself, a lot of the time) often stare themselves blind on the obnoxious, disrespectful tits who tend to make a few things unpleasant for everybody involved.

Then I shrug it off with the thought: "well, it's not about them but about those who do the work and the ones that appreciate the end result"...

The ignorant ones think modders have a magic hat over which they wave a baton in mystifying fashion to produce a ready for use mod and keep asking for all kinds af additions and/or ameliorations (like *cough* hi-res textures *cough*) without thinking/knowing about the work and time involved.

I also noticed that most of the entitled ones are folk that have been on the Nexus for quite a while but haven't made one single endorsement... ah-well...

Anyway, thanks again for the response. Good to see you've gotten out of the darker place and made it back into the light... happy modding amigo

Aha very well-worded. And I dont mind people making requests, but they could at least sugar coat in some sort of praise (like you did, so dont feel bad).
Also it wasnt the entitles twats that put me off modding, they just made me a little less vocally enthused about it is all. I always enjoyed it, I simply found I didnt have the time, and what time I did have was redirected towards Skyrim.

In any case, I am back now, at the moment I am reverse engineering the vanilla weapon aiming modifications to try and figure out how to make a Bipod attachment for weapons.
I have done a proof of concept thats halfway done, so that when you crouch and are not moving you get no weapon sway, but when you are standing the sway is worse than normal. But I am trying to achieve the same concept with weapon recoil, and having no luck so far.
So as far as the mystical wave of a wand goes, I've spent the better part of 6 hours to do what at first glance seems entirely simple, but has turned out to be a complete cluster f***...

      YAY
