I tried to recreate Beth Greene from the Walking Dead!
Why?
Partly, just to see if I could!
Also, I first started playing Fallout 4 on PC in July 2020, after years on the Xbox One, and I was still getting used to using the character creator with a mouse and keyboard. I decided to choose an actual person's face as a guide.
At the same time, I'd started binge-watching The Walking Dead (TWD) for the first time a couple of months earlier. Now, a lot of established characters die in TWD, but I was (and still am) most distraught about Beth dying. I thought her character was finally getting a proper arc, but then she was pointlessly shot in the head just as she started to find herself.
So, I tried to give her a new life in a different apocalypse.
She was just going to be a throwaway character to see if I could do it, but she's since become my new 'main' character, and maybe my favourite character I've ever made (and I've made a lot).
I figured other people might like the preset too.
Also, I've started delving into the Creation Kit and FO4Edit in the hopes of making a (very simple) mod, so I thought sharing a preset would be a good way of making sure I can actually release something on this thing first.
What will I need to make this work?
Fallout 4 Script Extender - It's a requirement of LooksMenu, below.
LooksMenu - Beth is a LooksMenu preset, so you can't do anything with it unless you've got LooksMenu!
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer - CBBE - That's what the preset was built with, at least.
Commonwealth Cuts - KS Hairdos - ApachiiSkyHair - This is where Beth's hair comes from!
The Eyes of Beauty Fallout Edition - This is where Beth's eyes come from. She needs those.
The skin used is Oni Face and Full CBBE.
Please let me know if anything doesn't work, but it should work fine!
How do I install it?
Just extract the contents into your Fallout 4 installation folder.
To actually use it in-game, while in the main character creation menu press the "R)" key to open the presets menu, and pick Beth from the list.
