CoconutCreamify's Texture Overhaul : First Aid Kits

/!\ Important Information /!\ (Read before installing)
Please read this to the end, and the rest of the mod page you can skip.

First off, you will have to do a bit of manual installation for the mod to work. Here's how it works :
  • Download the Main File, and open it using Winrar or 7zip.
  • Inside the file, pick one option for the First Aid Kits, the Pharma Kits and the Chem Kits (either the dirty or vandalized version, both don't work together) there is a screenshot in each folder so that you can see what they look like
  • Open the folders with your option in them, copy the files you want and paste them into Textures/SetDressing/FirstAidKit
  • Open the Blank First Aid Kit folder, copy the files and paste them into Textures/SetDressing/FirstAidKit
  • Delete all the folders except the Textures folder
  • Place them in your Fallout 4 directory inside Data, or install them via mod manager
If you don't want to go through the installation process, you can always download the Author's Pick file in Optional Files

Being a mod with so much choice, there's great possibility that I made mistakes. If you find anything that you think is a bug, please post it in the Bugs section, or DM me via Nexus, and I will fix it, I want everyone to be able to enjoy this mod to it's full potential, and that can't be done if there are issues with my models. This also means that Imight update the mod regularly, so check regularly if I posted an update or a hotfix for the mod. If you notify me in the "Posts" section, it's harder for me to see, so try to avoid that please.

You can now stop reading if you want to, but I encourage you to keep reading there's still some information you maybe don't want to miss

Mod Overview
There aren't a lot of retextures for the First Aid Kits which is surprising because it's one of the objects we see in the game the most. This frustrated me, and so I decided to make my own retexture for them. For this project, I was aiming to improve in my detailing, so I tried to make simple designs, while giving them life through the details. I think I did a good job, but there's always room for improvement of course. Another thing that I hated with the First Aid Kits was the blood splatter all over the Chem Kits (which I actually started liking a lot during this project), so that inspired me to make various different versions so that everyone would find a version for themselves.

About the Screenshots
The screenshots shown aren't meant to look good. They're meant for you to get gthe most accurate idea of what it will look like in your game, so that means I used the 4k textures with a base vanilla game, and no ENB. The quality sadly isn't that great as Steam doesn't take very good screenshots, so I apologise about that.

However, I'd really like to see how my retextures look in your games, so make sure to post your screenshots on the mod page, I'd enjoy that a lot.

Mod Features
  • Brand new textures for the 3 types of First Aid Kits in Fallout 4
  • The retextures features 2 colors for all 3 kinds of First Aid Kits in the game, and features 4 different designs for each color.
  • The Chem Boxes have options for vandalized and non-vandalized

Credits
Several people helped make this project a reality, so here they are :
  • winedave for helping me out with texture problems, check out his nexus profile
  • dpillari for helping me out with texture problems, check out his nexus profile
  • atomictk for helping me make the FOMOD installer, check out his nexus profile
  • My friend for giving me advice, guidance and feedback, check out his instagram

Help Needed
I need help on 2 things :
  • I am unable to make metals work on the static meshes for the First Aid Kit, I have found a workaround, but does not look nearly as good as the metal
  • I could not manage to create a FOMOD installer for this mod, and given the complicated installation, I think the mod would benefit it greatly
If anyone is able to help me with both of these things, please contact me via Nexus DMs, and I'll give you credit on the mod page for your work of course.

Final Words
This project took me an entire week to make, with barely any pauses. I encountered issues, and reworked the textures multiple times, so PLEASE endorse this mod if you like it (and only if you like it). Any constructive feedback on my work is also greatly appreciated, I want to get better at texturing, and I can't do it without propper feedback. Thank you for making this far courageous reader, and I hope you enjoy my rexture!
