Hello all I made these changes for me but thought I would share them for anyone who thinks like me so here we go...
This very small mod should make a huge difference to the difficulty as it aims to take away the 'bullet sponges' of the world, from super mutant brutes and upwards I reduce their health to a more standard level, the later level monsters are still stronger and have all the same equipment/damage. The higher level monsters just die faster, like the others around them - there is no more giant jump of health that makes the game feel really inconsistent.
This mod was meant for people who do not like having to use the most overpowered weapons to still have fun while they level up instead of being forced to grab guns and armor they may not like just to keep up, emptying clip after clip into creatures that have simply too much health while sighing and saying 'nothing can take this many head-shots' I have played a lot with this mod and it seems a huge improvement to me - I'm not a hardcore player and I look for enjoyment from the game, this mod is for others like me.
I tried to make a few of the level 1 basic creatures stronger but couldn't find all the right places to edit in xedit as its not the official software, oh and bugs in general are quite a bit weaker, I felt this made sense as its all about hitting them, not toughness.
The mod wont undergo many major changes and I am still testing the waters myself as I play - but if you find anything as you play that is too weak or still too strong please let me know so I can try to change things and release an update. Just keep in mind I am much more of a player then a modder - I just knew if I didn't upload this file no one would.
I realize of course many will find this cheating and that's fine, just don't download it - you can still customize this with the difficulty settings if you want to use better weapons or w/e, I can say because I did it myself putting it on easy means you can use pipe weapons in end game and not suffer, if you like the sound of this mod then please download it and see how you like things, you can always remove it in seconds and play as it was, it only took about an hour and a half to go down the NPC list and make the edits but its made my game much more enjoyable - thanks :-)
