Changelogs
Version 1.3.1
Fixes a logic bug in the new position validation code, which prevented the 1.3 script from operating properly. Upgrade highly recommended!
Version 1.3
[retracted]
Added error tolerance to position validation - Error margin: 0.01 units.
Retry failed correction after 5.0 seconds instead of 8.0 seconds
Other minor improvements to code
Version 1.2
Added revalidation of corrected position, retry (up to 10 times, with 8 seconds delay in between) on failure to correct.
Better handling of objects that have unloaded while processing them. This can happen when traversing a settlement cell by Vertibird, for example, or when you leave a settlement quickly again, after arriving there.
Added verbose debug mode (Set boolean DebugMode property to true).
Version 1.1
[unreleased]
Auto-Store initial position on first load; Many thanks to Tron91.
Version 1.0
Initial Release
WHAT
Works around a bug where workshop turrets occasionally mess up their position and fall to or even through the ground. Plugin is ELSified ESP, so it won't use up one of my precious load order slots.
WHY
I found some of my turrets at Bunker Hill stuck in the terrain LOD, the other day. No, really. See screenshots. So I said to myself: What The Fuck! And thus, this mod was born.
HOW
Adds a script that will a) store the turret position on placement and b) validate that position after OnLoad and apply corrective measures if necessary.
- Newly placed turrets will store/restore their position automatically. - Turrets you may have already built will automatically store their position on first load (after installing the mod). Thanks to Tron91 for this feature =) - If an existing turret has already fallen to the ground, pick it up in workshop mode and put it where it belongs. The new, correct position will be stored on placement. - From now on, should the turret ever fall out of place, the script will restore it to it's proper position on load.
WILL NOT WORK WITH
- Any other mod that overrides the workshop turrets. - Any mod added turrets. - If you want support for either, you'll have to make a patch. Lucky for you, it's rather easy: Just add the AntiTurretSyndrome script to your mod turrets and add this mod as master. Zero configuration required.
- Old game versions that can't read the new 1.0 Plugin format. Update your game!
