Notice: Fallout 4 does not seem to record boosted special stats on canines. I tested this by equipping, saving, shutting down, then starting the game again. The pup in question had base values. So you will need to re-equip pet gear on every load. Also, only the last piece of gear is counted. It won't stack the special stats.
