I'm trying to get the version of this for No lowered silencer and bayonet and No lowered compensator and muzzle but it keeps saying i'm missing a master file even though i have it all there.
I think the issue is that the NLSABR mod was updated, and this mod wasn't. Better Mod Descriptions' compatibility patch is specifically looking for "No Lowered Suppressor and Bayonet Range.esp," but the current esp for NLSABR is "No Lowered Suppressor and Bayonet Range 1.03.esp," and I imagine it's a similar situation with the compensator and muzzle esp. The name of the esp was changed, so the compatibility patch doesn't recognize it. However, you should be able to rename the NLSABR esp files to what BMD is looking for (like remove the 1.03 from the main esp) without any issues.
If you could make this compatible with "The Widow Shotgun" by Corvalho1, that would be AWESOME. Regardless I'll still be using both of these mods as they are both killer but now that I'm used to all the descriptions on weapon mods, it's a little saddening not seeing anything for the Widow.
Looking at See-Through-Scopes tells that this mod is no longer compatible, and given that the mod hasn't been updated since 2016, I'm pretty sure its not getting updated any time soon. There is an updated mod found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/36105 but See-Through-Scopes is not included. I'd suggest tracking the new one for updates, and just deal with vanilla descriptions...
so for some reason i am missing some masters. I am using Vortex for the mods. it says the following:
bettermoddescriptionsawso.esp depends on autoweapons.esp
and i tried looking on the desc of this mod just in case it is required to download a mod called autoweapons but i can't find anything , i even search on nexus mods autoweapons (auto weapons, automatic weapons) and i get nothing.
Mod is hopelessly out of date. If you use UFO4P(and why wouldn't you?), this mod will do far more damage than good. Still useful if you are doing you own updates of it, but for the general user that drops by thinking this is just what I was looking for? Well, no. And with the most recent UF4P (may 2018), it just fell even further behind.
Creator has no restrictions on making updates or improving it, so, anyone with the skills could take it over and offer a up-to-date version. I may take a look at putting up a properly updated combined file if anyone is interested in D/Ln something like that.
Since you have taken this one on infamous, I dont see why you dont just take over this mod in its entirety, instead of only offering a UFO4P for it. Kudos for that btw. The mod itself is free and clear to modify as I already mentioned, and having a one-stop, and fully updated , you know (full) version of this, rather than everyone d/ln this, still thinking it is still good to use. I cant say for certain what level of awareness exists amoung users as a whole as to the true state of this outdated resource, your update, and all the probably (many) outdated support files this comes with. But we can say for certain, if the entire file as whole were redone from the ground up, rather than piecemeal files located in various locations, it would solve all of that in one pass..
@Infamous95 could you please update the all in one to remove the see through scopes esp files, or update them as see through scopes was updated recently and having the all in one installed with them two esp's loaded makes the scopes invisible in game.
I love the nice descriptions but I prefer having nice scopes more than a bit of information.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34825?tab=description @prome I already updated it on that link there its where all my patches have gone to (except UF04P) and where I have created more content including AWKCR, AE, War Never Changes patches
@ Mebantiza I agree only problem is I haven't been able to figure out how he did the Lite version it seems the only thing changed is range (E.g original is say 2x Minimum Range. 5x Maximum Range and Lite is 24+ Range). He must have used an equation to get that number from the original version which is directly whats in xedit records. Maybe I'll figure it out. Maybe I won't. I think you all may see something from me in a few weeks either way :)
I see, I have working on my own copy of this file, and have been playing around editing the format of the descriptions themselves, which, could use some improvements.
As an example
From: Automatic. +50% Damage. +16.6% Fire Rate. -1x Range. +25% VATS Cost. To: <Automatic> <Damage>+50% <ROF>+16.6% <Range>-1x <VATS>+25%
There are of course a number of variations one could use, but you get the general idea....
There is a lot of room to improve the wording and efficiency of what exists now. Some of the entries are too verbose and could replaced with abbreviations. And it could use a more consistent template, where the listings always appear in a set order. Only problem is, what a chore. So many entries, probably just be something Ill just work on piece-meal. Some of the looong texts in here Ive been able to clean up by shortening and improving the descriptions so you dont run into the micro-text problem in the pip-boy. And even where that is not the case, it still looks a lot better.
Using the format <numbers> THEN <effect> is not good practice imo. <effect> THEN <value> is a better way to present this info.
@Mebantiza Ive begun re-creating this mod from the ground up new and improved. Will include a set format, Abr for certain words, get ride of two versions to become one. I am taking into consideration other game factors and possibly a perk/magazine edition. Also figured out the range.
From testing I found this mod to be rather inaccurate although originally it probably mattered very little since no one knew but now that I know Im going to make it accurate.
Definitely a tedious mod to make but It should be sick once its finished
Yes, I noticed things like incorrect reported magazine sizes in places, various other errors, likely quite a few given the sheer # of entries involved. Each entry needs to be checked against editor and verified, ugh. Just the thought of it made my eyes water... Some of the information is not presented very clearly and it is kind of a jumble. Little things, like why use extended terms like 'Semi-Automatic' when you are working on a compressed display like the pipboy where every character space counts.
Still better than Bethesda who manged to make descriptions so vague and un-informative, that even a somewhat poorly formatted, out of date file like this, somehow, still manages to be far better. For what that is worth.
It is a great mod but author gave up on it. I just started to re-create a new and better version of this mod that includes the DLC and gets rid of the need for two different versions.
I removed all of his out of date things because of the errors they generated and the many conflicts they caused. Such a shame to see mods left to rot without being updated.
Check out this patch project I'm working on if you want any updated patches sooner request them here. I have a list of current patches in the Forums tab (work in Progress).

Edit: Please check out the "Even Better Mod Descriptions" mod, which is being kept up to date and avoids these issues
(I only tested your patch for the Add version of the See Through Scopes. I didn't try the Replace version)
I'm pretty confirmed because after I uninstalled this, no more CrAsH.
but take my words with a grain of salt, maybe It's just me missing some masters

This plugin requires "Weaponsmith Extended.esp" to be installed, but it is missing.
My esp for Weaponsmith Extended is 'Weaponsmith Extended 2.esp.
Any help would be great.
