What does the mod do?
This mod will prevent Gunners from spawning with the Gunner Guard Outfit (GGO)
Why?
This mod is a workaround for the problem that the game will crash to desktop when shooting at NPCs wearing the GGO. This is not a common problem, but very annoying if you have it.
What does the mod not do?
The mod will not prevent named NPCs that are defined to wear GGO (e.g. Captain Bridget) from spawning with GGO. These NPCs are defined to wear GGO and not randomized from the level lists that this mod edits. This also goes for NPCs from other mods that define NPCs to wear GGO.
All NPCs wearing GGO can be killed with fire (e.g. Molotov Cocktail) without crashing the game. Alternatively, they can be killed via console: Press tilde key (the one right under ESC) to open console. Click left mouse button on the enemy wearing GGO. Type in "kill" without the " " and press enter. Press tilde again to leave console.
How does it work?
The mod edits 2 level lists: LLI_Armor_Gunner_Uniform_Low and LLI_Underarmor_Gunner. It replaces references to GGO with references to Gunner Leathers outfit meaning that instead of there's a possibility of Gunners spawning with GGO there's INSTEAD a possibility that they'll spawn with the Gunner Leathers outfit. The possibility of them spawning with the other outfits on the lists are unchanged.
Installation
Install with mod manager. The mod consists of 2 esps flagged as esl.
